He’s rarely overshadowed in the pop world, but Gary Barlow was dwarfed by his son Daniel while on a family holiday in Venice on Tuesday.
The five foot eight singer, 58, looked tiny compared to six foot two Daniel, 22, as they enjoyed a sightseeing trip in the Italian city, where they are holidaying as a family with Gary’s wife Dawn and their youngest child Emily, 21.
Take That star Gary wore a cream T-shirt and a pair of white linen trousers while Daniel wore colourful T-shirt with a pair of shorts.
Dawn, 53, was absent for the family’s walk around the island city, perhaps due to wrist pain, but joined the three for lunch at one point.
Gary and Dawn have been married since 2000, and Daniel and Emily are their only children.

Emily looked lovely in a dark pink, sleeveless top with matching trainers and a long green skirt with a white pattern.
She and Daniel wrapped them arms around each other, and the back of Daniel’s shirt read ‘Casablanca Paris’.
The family had been shopping, and Daniel held two bags in one hand, one Gucci. Gary soon took them and kept them safe between his legs so he could take Daniel and Emily’s photo.
Gary couldn’t take enough selfies and roped his children into more than just a couple, but they didn’t seem to mind.
He then became a master photographer, making sure Daniel and Emily looked their best in numerous snaps.
When he was sure he got the best angles, Gary called his children back over with a huge smile on his face.
Then the three were on the move through the bustling streets, with Daniel and Emily chatting away and Gary slightly behind.
Gary soon caught up and the three engaged in conversation, contently taking in the sights together.

Gary was in Venice just last month, but only with his wife Dawn.
The two must have had such a great time that they decided their children must come along.
Gary had whisked Dawn off for the two-day getaway after she broke her left wrist just a year after the agony of snapping her right one.
The Barlows love Italian holidays, with the whole family flying to Tremezzo, on Lake Como, for Dawn’s 50th birthday after lockdown eased in 2020.
