Gal announced the arrival of her daughter, a baby girl she named Ori, earlier this week
On March 6 Gal posted a snap of her cuddling her newborn while resting in a hospital bed.
‘My sweet girl, welcome. The pregnancy was not easy and we made it through.
‘You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means ‘my light’ in Hebrew. Our hearts are full of gratitude,’ she wrote in the Instagram caption.
‘Welcome to the house of girls. daddy is pretty cool too,’ she added.
The news of the birth surprised fans as Gal never announced she was pregnant.
In 2022, Gadot gushed about childbirth and described always wanting to be a ‘young mother’ during an interview with InStyle.
‘I started young. I was 25 when I was pregnant with Alma. I always wanted to be a young mother. Yeah, three kids. No joke, woman. God bless them, but it’s so much work,’ she told the outlet.
She also raved about the ‘magic’ of childbirth: ‘I would do it once a week if I could. It’s so magical.’

She added: ‘And I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it’s not so painful. Just the moment you feel like you’re creating life, it’s incredible.
‘But the pregnancies are hard for me — I feel sick and have migraines. I’m not in my element.’
And she noted the most bada** thing she does is ‘juggling between my family life and my acting career.’
‘When you’re on set, you’re like a kite. You can fly so high and try to catch the air,’ Gadot explained.
‘Then you go back home to do your main shift as being a mother. It’s not about me, it’s, “Okay, now I need to bathe Maya, feed Alma, put Daniella to bed.”‘
