Full House star John Stamos, 62, doesn’t look like this anymore as he gets major makeover that shocks fans

John Stamos threw his fans for a loop on this week after debuting a dramatically new look.

The 62-year-old Full House star has been known for his youthful looks and shaggy dark hair, but on Tuesday, he shared a behind-the-scenes look at his latest transformation on Instagram.

Stamos — who paid tribute last week to his late costar Bob Saget — filmed himself in the stylist’s chair as he took a chance on an unexpected new hairdo.

In one post, the television star revealed that he had lightened up his recognizable dark hair to create striking blond streaks.

Stamos debuted the look, which gave him a surprising emo style, in a clip with his hairstylist Riawna Capri as she combed out his thick hair.

He captioned the video, ‘Me still talking about the mom group drama,’ and he lip-synced to a clip of Kim Kardashian on the Today Show, saying, ‘I love it. I’m so passionate about it, and it’s what I do.’

‘New do,’ he added, while crediting Capri.

In a follow-up post on Tuesday, Stamos shared a hilarious photo of himself staring into the camera with a somber expression while his shaggy hair was arranged in two towering horns.

His bangs were encased in layers of foil, and the Beach Boys associate contrasted his hairdo with a rugged beard.

‘Trust the process,’ he captioned the post.  

Any hesitancy in his eyes had completely disappeared once he revealed the results.

Stamos flashed a sly smile as he unveiled his perfectly coiffed blond highlights, which were swept back dramatically.

In another shot, he gazed directly into the camera with a piercing gaze to highlight the youthful look.

‘Have mercyyy,’ wrote one astounded fan, while another person joked about his Full House character: ‘All I hear is uncle Jesse saying ‘watch the hair, watch the hair!!’

One fan wrote, ‘I guess being obsessed with your hair never changed, just like when you were on Full House.’

‘My god you have amazing hair!’ read one comment, and another fan admitted, ‘I can’t believe what I’m watching.’ 

Stamos’ light-hearted display comes after his former Full House costar Candace Cameron Bure paid tribute to their late friend and costar Bob Saget on Friday, the fourth anniversary of his death.

The 49-year-old actress, who recently addressed her public feuds, used Instagram to remember the comedic actor, who died at age 65 in 2022.

Sharing a series of photos with Saget, who played her dad on the family sitcom Full House, she wrote: ‘I miss you. Not just today, but every day.’

She then tagged the late star’s Instagram account, which has been idly sitting since his final post on January 9, 2022, the same day he died.

Bure portrayed D.J. Tanner, the oldest daughter to Saget’s character Danny, on ABC’s Full House from 1987-1995. 

They later reprised their roles on Fuller House, which streamed on Netflix from 2016 to 2020.

Four years ago, Saget was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando.

Foul play was ruled out as it was later discovered that he had suffered blunt head trauma following a fall.

He had recently kicked of a US tour and raved about his latest performance online just hours before his death.

In the wake of his passing, Bure appeared online to share multiple heartbroken reactions to the news.

‘I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much,’ she wrote in one post.

In a separate tribute, she wrote, ‘I love you sooooo much. I don’t want to say goodbye [broken heart emoji]. 35 years wasn’t long enough.’

There was another post in which she lamented, ‘Oh, Bob. Why’d you have to leave us so soon? We are all family, but you were the glue. The sticky, messy, squishy, sweet, lovable glue.’

She continued: ‘My childhood is wrapped up in you, my formative teenaged years and the rest of adulthood. 

‘We’ve always been so deeply connected since the day we met when I was 10 years old. You weren’t just like a father, but one of my closest friends in life. This hurts like nothing I’ve ever felt before.’

Stamos also used social media to pay his respects on Friday as well. 

He wrote on Instagram: ‘Missing Bob feels like standing in a quiet room after the laughter stops.

‘Your ears still ring with what was there, but the sound is gone. The heart of it is gone. It’s empty.

‘It’s not a sharp pain. It’s a low hum. Soft. Constant. Something you carry until everything gets quiet.’

His heart-wrenching note continued, ‘Missing someone is love with nowhere to go. So it sits beside you. It waits. Hoping they’ll walk back through the door and the laughter will start again.’

He concluded: ‘4 f***ing years. Can’t believe it. I miss you, Bob.’
