The Block host Scott Cam has developed a pet peeve with some of the contestants this year to the point where he has walked off the set in frustration.
The veteran presenter, 61, likes to keep things moving at a brisk pace and becomes annoyed when contestants take their time filming their on-camera interviews.
‘He hates the boring participants that take too long to shoot their on-camera moments,’ an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle.
‘Scott often walks off in a huff and gives the producers the side eye if the contestant struggles to answer his questions. It’s obvious when you know Scotty well.’
They added that Scott quickly learns who is comfortable moving at his pace – and who isn’t – and then tries to minimise contact with the slow speakers.
‘Anyone that takes too long to deliver the basics has Scotty avoiding them like the plague. He makes his mind up pretty quickly, it’s often hard to come back from.
‘It’s obvious the contestants he struggles with the most are always the people who don’t take to the TV side of the job. The ones who struggle with being natural or “interesting”.’
It follows reports that one team on this year’s show quickly managed to get Scott Cam offside.

Yellow Team Ricky and Haydn have reportedly developed inflated egos over their time on the show, to the irritation of Scott.
‘They already think they’re famous,’ a fellow contestant told New Idea Magazine.
The publication was invited to Phillip Island in Victoria to chat to Scott, who also complained the best mates were holding up proceedings.
‘Well, they are tardy,’ Scott sniped, as he threatened to start the celebratory lunch without them.
Fortunately, the Melbourne friends arrived just in time and things went smoothly from there.

Among the chaos in this year’s season, The Block will lose another of their teams in the coming weeks as the pressure cooker reality show threatens to break-up a second unhappy couple.
Earlier this week, Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed that Kylie and Brad Baker will make an abrupt exit on the Channel Nine series.
The news comes just weeks after it was confirmed Jesse Maguire and Paige Beechey from the Blue Team will throw down their shovels in week five and walk off-site for good.
‘Kylie had an absolute meltdown at the end of week 12 and stormed off the set,’ spilled an insider from the production team.
‘She flat-out refused to continue filming, and the pair didn’t even show up to finish their communal space in week 13.
‘I’ve got no clue how the producers are going to handle this on screen or how they’ll edit around it,’ they continued.
The current series of The Block was filmed earlier this year in the popular Victorian tourism hot spot Phillip Island.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal a Channel Nine-owned company purchased Island Cove Villas on the Victorian Island for a whopping $9.5million.
