While Christine Quinn has happily welcomed the world into her life since launching to stardom on Selling Sunset, her husband Christian Richard hates the spotlight.
To his dismay, the retired tech entrepreneur, 42, made a headlines worldwide after getting arrested for assault with a deadly weapon for throwing a ‘bag of glass’ at his spouse, 35, which ended up striking their toddler son.
On Wednesday, the mogul was seen being led away in handcuffs by officers while barefoot and clad in only a bathrobe following the incident involving the couple’s only child Christian Georges Dumontet, two.

Quinn previously revealed that she felt like a princess after they purchased their Hollywood Hills home, previously owned by Hugh Hefner’s widow, Crystal.
‘This was one of my first listings, and I would envision living in this house, my husband bringing me coffee,’ she gushed to People back in 2021.
After moving into the property together in 2019, the same year they tied the knot, she raved that her dream came true.
‘I got to live in the house I always wanted, and I got the man of my dreams,’ she told the outlet. ‘I’m like Snow White — this is my castle!’
The 5,917 square-foot property is equipped with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The tech guru co-founded the online food ordering service, Foodler, which he ultimately sold to its competitor GrubHub in 2017 for a $51 million.
The move allowed him to retire comfortably before 38.
Additionally, he was an early bitcoin support.
While speaking about embracing Bitcoin as a form of payment to HuffPost, he previously stated: ‘The cryptography behind it is fascinating to me. [The other founders and I] have software backgrounds and are excited about innovation. That was a motivator.’

Richard continued: ‘He is said to be worth $20 million while his wife, who works as a realtor and reality star, has amassed an impressive $2 million through her TV appearances and social media deals.’

He and Quinn met through a mutual friend
Although Richard made his debut on Selling Sunset as Quinn’s client, they actually met through mutual friends.
The couple were introduced through pals after she wrapped her first season on her reality show.
‘She said, ‘If it doesn’t work out, that’s fine — he’s looking for a home,’ so I could help him with real estate if he wanted,’ Quinn recalled to People.
They fatefully hit it off and were married in December 2019, within a year of meeting each other.
‘I absolutely fell head over heels in love,’ she said at their engagement party, which was captured by Selling Sunset cameras. ‘We hit it off in the car. We were literally in the car and we had an instant banter, which is really special. You don’t get that too often.’

Quinn and Richard welcomed their first child, who is named after his father, in May 2021.
After requiring an emergency C-section, Quinn said that her spouse remained ‘very calm throughout the whole process.’
‘It’s been so nice to watch my husband change and evolve,’ Quinn said on Selling Sunset. ‘He’s just so obsessed with little Baby C.’
In 2021, Quinn said she was ‘lucky to be alive’ after her son’s traumatic birth.
At the time, Quinn said that ‘reliving the trauma’ on the Netflix show has been agonizing as she detailed how her son was ‘seconds away from not making it’ and how doctors had to run her through an X-ray machine to see if they left any tools in her body because she was ‘flatlining’ during surgery.
‘I thank God everyday for my blessings, and my miracle baby. Always remember life is too short and grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. Let go of what you can, and take chances. Give everything and have no regrets. Life is too short to be unhappy,’ she wrote on Instagram.

He doesn’t like being in the spotlight
Unlike his wife, who has more than five million Instagram followers and is active on TikTok and Twitter, Richard lays low when it comes to social media.
He does not have any public accounts, and only rarely makes cameos on Quinn’s.
‘He’s the opposite of me in every way, because I love to put myself out there. I love to be fabulous. He doesn’t care about dressing up or looking good,’ Quinn told Bustle of her man.
She continued: ‘He doesn’t care about any of that stuff. He only cares about his work and traveling.’

He and Quinn started their own crypto real estate business
While it seems likely the duo will be pairing up on any brand deals together anytime soon, they are business partners.
In April 2022, they launched RealOpen, a crypto real estate business.
The move came after she parted ways with the Oppenheim Group.
‘I terminated my contract when the brokerage launched. I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage,’ she told Us Weekly.
The TV personality had previously discussed her business ambitions with Jason Oppenheim, her Selling Sunset co-star and the boss of the Oppenheim Group.
Speaking about the switch, Christine told People: ‘Jason knew. I told him. Him and I had had conversations a year prior. I told him I was doing my own thing.’

In 2020, Quinn revealed they got a pet tiger to protect their multi-million dollar Hollywood home.
According to the Daily Star, Christine said: ‘We have got full-time security. There are armed guards and canine unit dogs. We got it all because the house was featured on Selling Sunset. My neighbors recognized it and called me up.
‘I realized it meant people knew where we live now. That was a little scary to me because we are here a lot. And now, when we are away, we take extra precautions. The death threats I had were terrifying.
‘We were warned that a lot of weird things were happening in the area and I joked, ‘If guns and dogs don’t scare people, we need a tiger’… Then I decided it would be really fun to do that. So we found this guy who trains tigers as pets and got one.’
Christine also assured her fans her tiger is ‘very friendly’ and she has been stood a meter away from it and felt very at ease.

Richard ‘reportedly attended the Center for Talented Youth program for gifted students while in middle school,’ according to Vanity Fair.
Ultimately, he ended up graduating from the College of New Jersey in 2000 with a 4.0 GPA.
He earned his undergraduate degree in computer science.
He was previously employed as a computer scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
