Former Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Killoren Bensimon is about to walk down the aisle – but there’s a lot going into making sure that the bride-to-be looks and feels her best on the big day.
Bensimon, 56, got engaged to financier Scott Litner last summer while they were on a lavish Fourth of July getaway to a swanky retreat in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, near her hometown.
He proposed with a large five-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring that was custom made by New York City jeweler Material Good, according to E! News.
Now, fast-forward almost one year later, and Bensimon is getting ready for her dream nuptials that will take place this summer.
She’ll have two special days, per People – first exchanging vows and ‘I Do’s’ in the backyard of his family home, followed by a larger party in The Hamptons.

The model was previously married to famed photographer Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2007. They share two daughters, Sea Louise, 26, and Teddy Ann, 23.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, which Bensimon called into from the iconic Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City, where she spent the day trying on dresses, the model shared everything she’s doing to shine from the inside out.
Bensimon explained that she’s always been a ‘genuinely very healthy’ person, and is consistent when it comes to her daily vitamin routine and other wellness habits.
In particular, she enjoys taking turmeric, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and drinking green tea.
‘The seamstress did tell me that I’m not allowed to have beer, I’m not allowed to have pasta, and I’m not allowed to have ice cream,’ Bensimon told DailyMail.com.
‘So those would be not on my bridal body workout, or nutritional daily intake – but I’m gearing up for the massive [wedding] cake. I’m very excited about that.’
However, there is one sweet treat that the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star loves to indulge in, and that’s pineapple.
The I Can Make You Hot! author said that it’s her ‘go-to snack’ before bed while she’s watching television.

Not only does the fruit taste delicious, but Bensimon revealed that it also helps to give her metabolism a boost.
Pineapple contains certain enzymes that may help your body burn fat and support digestion, according to Cleveland Clinic.
The fruit also aids in hydration, something that Bensimon takes very seriously.

The Douglas Elliman real estate agent also credits dance cardio class DanceBody for changing her body over the past year.
The workout, which has studio locations both online and in New York City, The Hamptons, Miami and Los Angeles, combines dance cardio and sculpt in a 50-minute class.
‘I mean, I’m a lean, tall person, but now I may or may not have a little butt,’ Bensimon said.
‘You know, just the way that I carry myself and my body is compact.’

And, as the big day approaches, Bensimon is working towards getting her bridal glow from the outside.
She told DailyMail.com that she has been seeing New York City-based Dr. Nathan Newman, a stem cell expert, as well as Dr. Francesco Gargano, for various skin treatments, like the Secret Pro laser.
The Secret Pro is meant to reduce wrinkles and fade age spots, among other benefits – and Bensimon has definitely noticed a difference.
But at the end of the day, the mom-of-two just wants to feel like the best version of herself when she walks down the aisle.
‘I don’t want to be in there and like “Oh my God, I’m too thin, or I don’t feel good,”‘ Bensimon explained.
‘I’m so excited for this wedding,’ the star continued. ‘I’m so excited for the whole process. I had so much fun at Kleinfeld and I just really want to focus on being the best version of myself and I hope that comes across.’
She wants her fellow brides-to-be to feel like the most beautiful versions of themselves on their wedding day, too.
‘This is your moment with your husband and I just want you to really enjoy,’ Bensimon said.
‘Everything else will get taken care of,’ she promised. ‘The food will be taken care of, the people will be taken care of, your friends and family will be taken care of.
‘I just really want you to appreciate and have so much respect for the day and for the union and just to enjoy yourselves.’
