But almost ten years later, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor has returned to the soap show as a different blue heeler.
It was revealed last year that Jeremy would be playing the character of Sergeant David Langham, a newcomer police officer from Yabbie Creek.
Jeremy seemed to slip back into the uniform with ease as he returned to Summer Bay.
He was seen filming scenes for the upcoming 39th season on Sydney’s Northern Beaches on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old could be seen enjoying an off-camera moment as he sipped on a takeaway coffee and saved a muffin for later while walking around set.
Jeremy’s new role is a far cry from his original character on the soap.
He previously played Dylan, a secretive, corrupt policeman whose ulterior motives and sly demeanour saw him fired from the force.
He was eventually killed in prison, ending Jeremy’s storyline on the show in 2019.
Jeremy’s new role as a straight-shooting cop who seemingly has good intentions, a clean record and a lot of heart, is gearing him up to be a fan favourite.
Jeremy rose to fame in the iconic ’90s soap Heartbreak High.
The Sydney-sider had a long-running role as sporty, good-looking student Kurt Peterson between 1997 to 1999, marking the beginning of a long career on the screen.
The teen drama tackled important issues, including racism, at the fictional Hartley High, and ran for five years on Channel 10 and the ABC.
