The new series of I’m A Celeb… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 is due to kick off this Sunday with one of the most explosive set of campmates in the show’s history.
Leading this year’s campmates are Fred Sirieix, Grace Dent, Danielle Harold, Nigel Farage and Josie Gibson.
While Jamie Lynn Spears, Sam Thompson, Nella Rose, Marvin Humes and Nick Pickard are also preparing for their stint in the jungle.
As the 23rd series of the show gets underway, we take a look back at the forgotten contestants of the past.
From ditching fame, to pursuing new careers in politics and property, where are the former campmates now?
New series: I’m A Celebrity is set to kick off on Sunday evening with a whole new line-up announced – and while these stars are hoping to increase their level of fame, it hasn’t been the case for all of the past contestants
Annabel Giles (2013)
Annabel Giles has had a complete change of career since her time in the jungle back in 2013.
The former TV and radio presenter shot to fame as co-presenter of ITV’s Posh Frocks and New Trousers alongside Sarah Greene.
She went on to star as a panellist on numerous entertainment shows such as Have I Got News For You and Through The Keyhole.
In 2013 she entered the jungle as a late arrival alongside Strictly professional dancer Vincent Simone, yet her time in the jungle was short-lived as she became the first celebrity to be booted out of camp.
However while the star still dabbles in the world of radio and performing, she now works as a counsellor and psychotherapist in Brighton and London.

Fran Cosgrave (2004)
After coming third on the show in 2004, Fran Cosgrave went on to win the first ever series of Love Island.
Back in 2005, the Irish nightclub owner and bodyguard for boyband Westlife, appeared on ITV’s Celebrity Love Island and went on to win the show.
Yet the star turned his back on fame on TV fame and is now an international DJ.
Fran is a producer and DJ for house scene trio the Futuristic Polar Bears with whom he has toured the world.
Earlier this year he told Jennifer Zamparelli on RTE 2FM: ‘You can’t take it [fame] too seriously because it’s gone as quick as it comes.
‘As it came towards 2009, things just started to spin out of control a bit, as it does. I was kind of finished with the whole celebrity thing.
‘I started saying, ‘no’ to loads of programmes and I just wasn’t interested in it.
‘My manager, rightly so, was like, ‘Mate why won’t you do any of these things?’ I was just like, ‘I’m not there anymore.”

Nell McAndrew (2002)

Nell first appeared on TV as a hostess on the gameshow Man O Man before going on to work as a magazine model and Marilyn Monroe lookalike.
However nowadays the star has left her lad’s mags days behind and dedicates her life to fitness.

Kimberley Davies (2005)
The Australian actress, most famous for her role in Neighbours, appeared in the fifth series of I’m A Celeb back in 2005.
The star played Annalise Hartman on the Australian soap from 1993 to 1996 and sadly had to end her time in the jungle early after she hurt her shoulder during one of the trials.
While the star went on to star as a contestant in Australia’s Dancing with the Stars, she has since faded out of the limelight and Private Sydney reported last year that she declined to appear in the final episode of Neighbours.
Instead Kimberley is focused on raising her children Isabella, Josh and Ashton and running a decorating business in Melbourne, where she lives with her children and husband Jason Harvey.

The singer songwriter made it all the way to the semi finals on the eighth series of the show as he finished in fourth place.
Yet the star, who was formerly a member of pop duo Dollar, has made the switch from music to politics.
In 2007 he stood as a Conservative Party candidate for Brighton and Hove, and in 2018 stood for a seat in Thurrock council.
While he was beaten by MEP Tim Aker, when Aker resigned in 2019, David won by subsequent by-election.
He sadly lost his seat to Labour in May 2022.

The former singer and television presenter attempted a TV comeback when she appeared on the 2008 series of I’m A Celeb.
However the star wasn’t a front runner for the Queen of the Jungle title and the star was eliminated on day 12.
Dani was discovered by Pet Shop manager Tom Watkins who put him in his group Faith Hope & Charity however the trio’s music didn’t take off.
She then went on to pursue a career in TV, featuring in a host of shows including The Big Breakfast, Channel 4 music show and The Word.
However now the star has left the world of TV behind and resides in Los Angeles where she works as an real estate agent.

Emily Scott (2011)
Australian model and DJ Emily Scott is unrecognisable from her time in the jungle back in 2011.
The star made it to day 16 before she was voted out by the public after admitting she had fallen for campmate Mark Wright, prior to his relationship with now wife Michelle Keegan.
Asked directly in an interview with I’m A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec whether she fancied Mark, she went bright red, grinned and yelped: ‘Yes!’
The star continues to tour with her DJ set and has completely changed up her look, ditching her blonde locks for a turn as a brunette.

Pat Sharp
Alongside Emily, radio presenter and DJ Pat Sharp also appeared on the 2011 series of the show, where he was eliminated third.
The star is best known for his career on the children’s ITV programme Fun House before he went on to have a successful career in radio.
However Pat was dramatically taken off air earlier this year after reducing a woman to tears by making a crude joke about her breasts at an awards show.
The star ‘humiliated’ events boss Lizzy Eaton by joking about ‘getting on your t**s’ as he handed her a T-shirt with his face on it, which she said made her feel ‘violated’.
Greatest Hits Radio, where the 61-year-old has presented a show since 2019, said his contract was due to expire at the end of this month but decided Pat would ‘not return to the station with immediate effect’.
In a statement issued to The Sun, Pat said: ‘I made a joke on stage which was not well received. I upset one individual in particular and for that I am truly sorry. I apologised at the event to anyone who was offended and I have apologised to the individual personally too.’
