The Harry Potter village being constructed for the new HBO TV series has been pictured for the first time in Hertfordshire.
The series is expected to begin to air in 2027 and has been described by HBO as a faithful adaptation of the iconic books, starring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry and John Lithgow as Dumbledore.
The sets being constructed look to be a thatched cottage and a road, a sports stand, a greenhouse and a stone outbuilding.
While details are not yet clear, the sports stand could be for scenes involving the fictional sport of Quidditch, while other locations could be the Burrow which is the family home of the Weasleys and Hagrid’s Hut.Â
The farm area has been transformed into the wizarding world, with filming thought to soon be moving there from the current area in Cornwall being used to shoot scenes.Â
It comes after the quiet fishing village of Cadgwith on The Lizard was the location for filming on Tuesday.

Dominic was spotted in costume as the new Harry Potter as he arrived at the film set for the Philosopher’s Stone.
Filming kicked off at the Cadgwith Cove Inn before moving to the beach, where a dramatic scene was staged involving a car surrounded by fishing boats and extras in traditional Sou’westers.
Rain was simulated using sprinklers and water sprays, adding to the atmosphere of the scene, which featured Harry and Bel Powley as Aunt Petunia.
Bel was spotted sitting in the front seat of the car clutching her handbag while Dominic and cousin Dudley, played by Amos Kitson, sat in the back seats.Â
The car was surrounded by cameras as the sprinklers were turned on causing rain while Uncle Vernon (Daniel Rigby) paced around the vehicle before picking up what looked like a broom stick wrapped in paper.Â
He was seen chatting to a grey bearded man in the harbor dressed in overalls, a waterproof jacket and wellies before they hugged and Daniel walked away with the broomstick.Â
During a break, the cast were later seen catting away outside the vehicle to the crew as they prepared for the scene.Â
The entire village was closed to traffic during the day.
Locals and fans gathered along the cliffs and roadside to catch a glimpse of the production, which is expected to wrap up on Wednesday.Â

Dominic, who was selected from over 32,000 hopefuls, steps into the iconic role which was originally made famous by Daniel Radcliffe.Â
He leads a fresh-faced cast that includes Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.Â
Nick Frost, known for Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, takes on the role of Hagrid.Â
It comes after the new HBO series of Harry Potter began filming last month, but the magic of the franchise was no match for Mother Nature, as the set was hit by a nasty swarm of bugs.
Stars and crew were thought to have battled with ticks and horseflies as they shot scenes at Windsor Great Park, with production bosses forced to issue a warning about the ‘infested’ woodland.Â
Everybody on set were asked to cover up, check for bites and report any nasty reactions to the on-site medic.Â
According to the NHS website, ticks can vary in size and feed on the blood of birds and mammals, including humans.
Whilst not usually painful, their bites can cause swelling, itchiness, blistering and bruising.Â
The Daily Mail has contacted HBO for comment.Â
After the filming took place, a source told The Sun: ‘The Harry Potter films are legendary, and everyone wants the new TV series to be just as popular.
