Forget Beverly Hills, Garcelle Beauvais is getting ready to be a Real Housewife of Oxnard!
The 57-year-old Coming To America actress will soon see her dream home become a reality nearly three years after plunking down $765,000 for a run-down 850 square foot, 1950s-era vintage beach cottage in the seaside city.
The reality star purchased the shabby home in August 2021 before promptly bulldozing it to oblivion. The lot sat empty for two years with many falsely speculating Beauvais had run out of money on the passion project.
Last year, Garcelle herself admitted on RHOBH that she had been bogged down in ‘red tape’ with the building permits needed from Ventura County to complete the property.
But now the Dailymail.com can reveal the two-story house with massive ocean view upper deck is nearing completion, with painters putting the finishing touches on both the outside and the distinctive white spiral staircase.

‘For me, buying a beach house, it’s a pretty big deal. I’m proud of myself,’ Beauvais said on RHOBH. ‘I just want it to be a place my kids can go and just have fun, create memories, and when I’m gone, they can say, ‘This is really cool that mom did this.’
The Beverly Hills housewife had previously expressed her ‘vision’ to build a ‘modern’ home with at least 2,700 square feet and different decks
The RHOBH star bought this one-bedroom, one-bathroom, modest shack in August 2021 for $765,600 with plans to demolish it and build her dream home
The passion project became bogged down in ‘red tape’ over the years due to all the building permits needed from Ventura County
Beauvais, who joined the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2020, already owns a $1.2million dollar home in Los Angeles County
It looks a bit different than the artistic rendering she showed on Season 11 of the show and is quite narrow to fit the 2,450 square foot rectangular lot.
The home does not sit right on the ocean but is about a block away from Silver Strand Beach.
On April of 2023 Garcelle borrowed $1.5million from BMO Bank to fund construction of the project she called a dream come true.
‘My vision is to build at least 2,700 square [feet]. I want to go up. I want to have different decks. I want it to be modern.

Beauvais quickly bulldozed the home after buying the property and began work on the 2,450 square foot rectangular lot
But new photos show development is now nearing completion almost three years after Beauvais borrowed $1.5million to fund construction of the project she called a dream come true
A rendering of the project was seen in a season 11 episode of the reality show which showed a two-story home with an outdoor spiral staircase, and lots of outdoor deck space
Oxnard is miles west along the coast from Los Angeles. But unlike other seaside cities in the area such as Santa Barbara and Malibu it is not a celebrity hangout.
But a home near the beach in those more glamorous locations would easily be triple the price that Beauvais paid.
‘I didn’t grow up knowing anyone who owned more than one home or even owned an home,’ the Haitian-born beauty said on RHOBH.
‘So for me, buying a beach house, it’s a pretty big deal. I’m proud of myself.’

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kathy Hilton, Annemarie Wiley, Garcelle Beauvais, Kyle Richards, Crystal Kung Minkoff and Erika Jayne posed together at the People’s Choice Awards on February 18
One clue that the beach house was well on its way to being built was when Garcelle admired co-star Sutton Stracke’s new $68,000 sapphire and diamond earrings on the finale episode.
‘These [earrings] probably cost more than my kitchen at my new beach house!’ she said.
Garcelle has been married twice, to producer Daniel Saunders—father of her son Oliver, 33—and to talent agent Michael Nilon—father to their twin sons Jax, and Jaid, 16—both marriages ended in divorce.
She is also a grandmother to three-year-old Oliver Sanders Jr.
