On Tuesday’s episode, Sharon told Gary and fellow housemate Louis Walsh she is a big fan of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Fans were left in hysterics after Fern Britton wasted no time in quizzing Gary on why he had chosen to do the reality show.
Gary, who is the brother of Kate Middleton’s mother Carole, revealed that he is hoping his stint on Big Brother will allow the public to see a different side of him as he entered the house on Monday.
And as the housemates got to know each other and began to mingle the TV presenter was straight to the point as she asked Gary: ‘I’m just fascinated in why are you here?’
Slightly taken aback, Gary replied: ‘Because I want to prove I am not the caricature portrayed in the press’.
Wondering whether he will reveal any royal gossip, Fern continued: ‘And how much can you say about everything?’
Gary added: ‘Well I can pretty much give my opinion about everything,’ before joking: ‘Unless a red laser dot appears on my chest’.
With Kate out of the spotlight while recovering from abdominal surgery, royal fans will no doubt hope that the millionaire businessman, 58, will open up about his relationship with his niece, who he says is ‘the most spectacular person I’ve ever met.’
