Firerose's Battle with Addiction: Singer's Revelations as Divorce Looms

Firerose has shared heartfelt post about her past battle with addiction, days after the singer’s husband Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce.

Posting to Instagram on June 1, the Australian musician, 35, marked eight years of sobriety by sharing an uplifting message in which she praised God for helping her stay strong.

‘8 years sober today by the grace of God! 8 years ago God performed a miracle in my life,’ the After The Storm songstress began.

‘One day at a time since then I’ve given my will and my life over to Him. He’s been loving and faithful in all promises and never left my side,’ she continued, adding: ‘It’s only by God’s love and His wonderful grace that I get to remain sober and share that hope with others still suffering in addiction.’

Firerose said she ‘couldn’t be more incredibly grateful’ for the ‘gift’ of sobriety, before sharing an inspiring message to fans who may be facing adversity in their own lives.

‘If you’re struggling right now, just know there is NOTHING He can’t do!! No matter how broken you feel… by faith you can and will be restored,’ she wrote.

Accompanying her emotional message was a photo of Firerose sitting in her car looking defiantly into the camera.

She looked typically glamorous in an embroidered black blouse, dreamcatcher inspired gemstone necklaces and dramatic makeup look.

Her post was met with an avalanche of praise from her followers, with one commenting: ‘That’s so AWESOME FIREROSE! I’m so proud of you! You have been truly blessed!’

Firerose and Billy Ray wed in October last year, but filed for divorce in late May as reported by TMZ.

She was his third wife – he was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 until 1991 and Miley Cyrus‘ mother Tish from 1993-2022.

The divorce case notes there are no minor children between them.

TMZ has reported Cyrus claimed both irreconcilable differences and ‘inappropriate marital conduct’ were the reasons behind their split.

Additionally, Cyrus is requesting an annulment, alleging the marriage was entered into fraudulently.

He said their date of separation was on May 22, 2024 in the divorce documents, which were filed last month.

In court documents obtained by E!, Cyrus says he is seeking an annulment as ‘he gave consent to marriage based on Fraud by the Wife, that had he known he would not have entered into the bonds of matrimony.’

TMZ also reports that it appears Billy wanted Firerose out of their home by May 24.

He is willing to pay as much as $500 a night over the course of 10 days for her lodging costs.

Once the 10 day period has lapsed, he is willing to pay $5,000 a month for her to acquire a suitable new home in Tennessee.

Billy is prepared to make the payments over the course of 90 days or once their divorce is officially finalized, whichever happens first. The payments must be made on the first of the month.
