CBS has released a brief sneak peek at the upcoming seventh and final season of the hit comedy series Young Sheldon.S
Season 6 of the show saw Sheldon (Iain Armitage) arriving in Germany for an opportunity at a local university.
Shortly after he arrived, though, his grandmother’s (Annie Potts) home was destroyed by a tornado.
The brief sneak peek at the final season shows Sheldon’s mother Mary (Zoe Perry) insisting that he come home to Texas.
The preview begins with Sheldon enjoying a large Bavarian pretzel, and seemingly getting cheered on by a few Germans in the process.

The brief sneak peek at the final season shows Sheldon’s mother Mary (Zoe Perry) insisting that he come home to Texas .

However, he’s told by Mary, ‘We have to go home. There was a tornado. Your MeeMaw’s house was destroyed.’
They show footage of Meemaw and her boyfriend Coach Dale Ballard (Craig T. Nelson) driving up to their home, stunned that it was completely destroyed.
Back in Germany, Sheldon protests, ‘Classes start tomorrow. I’m not going anywhere,’ though Mary insists, ‘You are going home!’
‘The people of Germany are obsessed with rules and devoid of humor. I am home,’ Sheldon says to his mother.
The trailer ends with another scene with Mary, who tells Sheldon, ‘What I say goes,’ but Sheldon employs a bizarre tactic – laying awkwardly on the couch.
When Mary asks what he’s doing, Sheldon quips, ‘Passive resistance. Good luck lifting my limp body.’
CBS had issued a three-season renewal back in 2021 for its fifth, sixth and seventh seasons, though it revealed in November – just days after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended – that Season 7 would be its last.

The final season is set to premiere Thursday, February 15 at 8 PM ET, with the series finale airing Thursday, May 16 at 8 PM ET.
‘Being able to tell the origin of Sheldon Cooper, and expanding the story to include the entire Cooper family has been a wonderful experience,” said executive producers Steve Holland, Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre.

The series was a prequel to another CBS hit, The Big Bang Theory, which ran 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019.
