Fifth Harmony Ignites Fan Excitement with First Post in Seven Years

Fifth Harmony sent shock waves through social media on Sunday as the group posted on X for the first time in seven years.

The four-piece musical group — consisting of Ally Brooke, 32, Normani, 29, Lauren Jauregui, 29, and Dinah Jane, 28, after Camila Cabello’s, 28, shock 2016 exit — engaged its 4.2 million followers with an unexpected message.

‘#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree,’ the post read, marking an unexpected return to the platform seven years after wishing Ally a happy birthday in July 2018.

The collective’s fans, dubbed Harmonizers, quickly flocked to the comments to express their excitement as they predicted a reunion on the horizon.

‘Wait… this is the first twee since 2018. Something is happening,’ one person surmised.

Another demanded, ‘I need new music from you ladies! I’m ready!’

‘The Fifth Harmony love train never stops,’ another zealous follower added to the thread.

And one fan was clearly overwhelmed, posting, ‘Don’t do this to meeee,’ with a shocked emoji.

‘I don’t understand what’s happening… but I think I like it,’ said one social media user.

There was also a die-hard Harmonizer who asked, ‘Wait are u guys coming back? OGs? Or any new ones?’

Another enthusiastically asked, ‘WAITTTT ARE Y’ALL REUNITING LIKE FR? IT WASNT JUST A RUMOR?’

The group was formed on season two of X Factor USA in 2012.

And the pop music collective announced an indefinite hiatus six years later in 2018.

It came two years after Camila departed to pursue a solo career, with the remaining women left to unceremoniously announce the news.

‘After four and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well,’ the December 2016 joint statement read.

In March 2024, a source told Page Six that the group would like to get back together.

The prospect of the reuniting was sparked after Fifth Harmony’s past hits began going viral on TikTok.

Rumors of the women making a comeback emerged on social media in 2023 when Ally confirmed that she, Normani, Lauren, and Dinah secured ownership of Fifth Harmony’s trademark.

Camila was not involved at the time, per the outlet.

Taking to X afterward, Ally clarified that there was ‘no official band reunion happening at the moment,’ but added, ‘some beautiful friendships and relationships are slowly reuniting in a healing and empowering way.’
