A FAST and the Furious star’s husband has been charged with hit and run after he allegedly ran over the foot of a scooter rider causing serious injuries.
James Bailey, who is married to actress Devon Aoki, has been accused of fleeing to his $9.1 million Florida home after allegedly hitting the rider while driving his Audi SQ7 SUV.
Footage captured on the scene shows the unidentified rider’s leg trapped under the car’s tyre.
He appears to be in pain as he slaps the car’s hood and begs for the driver to move the car.
An arrest report obtained by Local 10 shows that the scooter rider’s girlfriend was frantically asking the driver of the car to remove it.
Just moments later, the Audi car was seen reversing – knocking the man down before accelerating at full speed and fleeing the scene.
The media outlet reported that the victim suffered “serious injuries” that included two foot fractures.
It said that the driver sped away “without rendering aid, providing information, or reporting the crash to police.”
The victim’s girlfriend described Bailey to cops, and investigators said that the Audi was spotted on “several” license plate readers and police cameras.
Cops investigating the case found that the car was registered to a a $9.1 millionm eight bedroom mansion shared by Bailey and his wife, Aoki.
According to the outlet, Bailey was seen arriving at the residence in his Audi just as the cops were leaving.
He was then taken into custody “after several minutes”.
The white Audi even had “minor damage” which was “consistent with a collision with a pedestrian on a stand-up scooter,” Local 10 reported.
According to The New York Post, Bailey was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre on a hit-and-run causing serious bodily injury and resisting without violence.
But he was released the next morning on a a $7,500 bond.
Baliley is married to Aoki, who is also known for her role in 2 Fast 2 Furious
The 43-year-old is also the sister of DJ and record producer Steve Aoki.
