The trailer begins with Adams’ character Mother adjusting to life as a mom in the suburbs with her toddler son and husband (played by Scoot McNairy.)
However things take a sinister turn when her son points out ‘fur’ on her face, her eyes change and she notices she is developing pointed canines – like a dog’s.
Mother soon transforms into a wolf and joins a pack of dogs every evening – with Adams seen devouring a tray of food without cutlery, digging a hole in her garden, and eating dog food from a metal bowl alongside her son.
The increasingly feral Mother also tells a woman she could ‘crush a walnut with her vagina’ and tells her amused mom friends ‘I think I’m turning into a dog!’
After her husband reveals he wishes he could stay at home all day, Mother tells him: ‘If you wake him [their son] I will rip your throat out!’
In addition to Amy, Nightb***h – an adaptation of author Rachel Yoder’s 2021 novel – also stars Ella Thomas and Garrett C. Phillips.

Nightb***h – Adams’ first movie since 2022’s Disenchanted – will premiere in theaters on December 6, 2024, with a Toronto Film Festival premiere on September 7, 2024.
When Adams isn’t busy filming movies, she is busy raising daughter Aviana, 14, with her husband Darren Le Gallo.
Adams and Le Gallo met in an acting class in 2001, and began dating a year later when they collaborated on the short film, Pennies.
The couple got engaged in 2008 and welcomed daughter Aviana two years later in 2010.
They had an extended engagement and said they were in no rush to get married, before exchanging vows in 2015 on a ranch just outside of Santa Barbara, California.
The actress told Allure in 2016 that the couple decided to finally get married because Aviana ‘wanted a family wedding’.
Adams has also previously gushed about her husband and the love he has for their daughter.
She told Marie Claire back in 2018: ‘It’s sexy to see him raising a girl and teaching her how a man should treat her in a lovely way.’

And the actress, who has six Academy Award nominations and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under her belt, hopes to serve as a reminder to her daughter about her own potential.
‘I want [Aviana] to know that is it not just women that can soar, she can soar and she needs to find her own light. I know she is on that path,’ she told Entertainment Tonight after her Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony in 2017.
‘That is something that I need to remind her. No light that shines on me creates a shadow for her to stand in.’
