Fans Spot Touching Detail in Chris Hemsworth’s Documentary Trailer

Chris Hemsworth has unveiled a sneak peek at his upcoming National Geographic documentary – and fans are going crazy over one detail.

The Thor star, 42, took to Instagram on Friday to share the trailer for A Road Trip to Remember, which documents Chris and his father Craig’s adventures as they re-explore memorable places of their past.

Craig has early-stage Alzheimers, Chris shares in the trailer, which is why the pair have decided to embark on a road trip around Australia, using reminiscence therapy as a way to fight against his memory loss.

The heartwarming snippet contained clips of the dad and son duo on motorcycles, visiting their old home and bonding as they take on the outer elements.

The trailer also featured some old photos of the pair.

‘This is a photo of me and my dad and…’ Chris began before breaking off, overcome by emotion.

‘I love this photo,’ he added.

The snapshot showed Chris as a baby with his dad — shirtless and rocking a full beard — who is the spitting image of him.

Fans flooded the comments section to point out the close resemblance.

‘My goodness your dad as a younger man. I thought that was you,’ one person wrote.

Another penned: ‘Is Liam and Chris’s face all in one Dad.’

‘OMG! You are your dad’s clone,’ one fan pointed out.

Another chimed in: ‘OMG, you are the image of your Dad when he was your age.’

This isn’t the first time Chris has opened up about his family’s history with Alzheimer’s.

In 2022, he revealed that his grandfather suffered from the disease and that his father was also suffering from early symptoms of the disease.

He further revealed that he is genetically predisposed to develop the disease.

It was reported that Chris was filming the National Geographic series Limitless when he found out he is ‘between eight and 10 times’ likelier to develop Alzheimer’s than the general population.

Shortly after the news was made public, the actor took a step back from Hollywood as news reports quickly began to swirl that Chris was retiring, or he had already developed the disease.

‘It really kind of p***ed me off because it felt like I had been vulnerable with something personal and shared this,’ he told Vanity Fair.

‘No matter how much I said, “This is not a death sentence,” the story became that I have dementia and I’m reconsidering life and retiring and so on,’ he added.
