Fans were not too pleased with comedian Conan O’Brien’s Oscars 2025 entrance – as he crawled out of the back of Demi Moore.
O’Brien, 61, who is hosting the Academy Awards, made a splash right off the bat as Moore helped him with his debut.
After Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande opened the show with a performance, the program cut to a tape of Moore as she re-created a scene in her box-office hit, The Substance.
She then collapsed to the floor, and things took a turn as the comedian crawled out of her back, dressed in his suit and bowtie.
The image was quite graphic, as he jumped out of her flesh and looked at himself in the mirror and smiled.
At one point, he even crawled back in again, as he forgot one of his shoes in her body.
However, no matter how clever the opening may have been, it didn’t impress the viewers of the 2025 Oscars.
Many took to X to share their thoughts on the ‘creepy’ skit.

This year’s ceremony has an unusually unsettled field in many of the most high-profile categories, including best picture and most of the acting categories.
Emilia Pérez leads the nominations this year with 13, including for best picture, actress (for Karla Sofía Gascón), supporting actress (for Zoe Saldaña), director (for Jacques Audiard), adapted screenplay and original song.
Other best pictures nominees include Anora, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys and The Substance.
