MARKET Harborough residents were left surprised after spotting an A-list Hollywood couple dining out at a local curry house.
Locals in the area were gobsmacked to see the huge celebrities tucking into a meal at one of the eateries in the area.
Tom Holland and Zendaya attempted to go low-key as they dined out at Everest Lounge.
In a video shared by Travel Dad Benji Henry on his Facebook page, the pair sat in the restaurant as he asked his friends on Facebook to guess who he had seen.
The restaurant themselves later shared a snap of Tom and Zendaya and confirmed it had been an “honour” to welcome them.
The owners of the Everest Lounge wrote online in a Facebook status: “We were absolutely delighted to welcome Tom Holland and Zendaya to our town and to have the opportunity to serve such wonderful Hollywood stars at Everest Lounge.
“Moments like this remind us how special our local hospitality is – world-class warmth right here at home.
“A night we won’t forget! Huge thanks to our team at Everest Lounge for their professionalism.”
It left many locals begging to hear what they ordered so that they too could also tuck into food enjoyed by the Hollywood pair.
Other locals speculated that the reason for the couple being in the area could be as a result of claims that British-born Tom’s grandparents live nearby.
Tom was born and raised in South West London whilst Zendaya is from California.
They are believed to have called London their main residence since 2023 after purchasing a £3million home in the capital.
Earlier this year, The Sun told how they’d been forced to splash out in order to up security measures at their London home after concerns were raised about fans approaching the property to make contact with the stars.
They are understood to be paying around £1,000 a day on security at the house.
An insider said: “Fans kept rocking up to their place and it started to get a bit much. They love interacting with their fans but, when they’re not working, they’re just a young couple trying to have a normal life.
“Fans had started arriving at their gates and asking for selfies and autographs.
“They have got security now to deter any random visitors.”
A neighbour close to the couple added: “It’s been like living next to a film set recently.
“As soon as Tom and Zendaya started filming the new Spider-Man fans just kept turning up.
“Now they’ve got this burly security bloke outside. He’s friendly enough but looking at him, he’s not the kind of man you’d want to miff off.”
