Shelley Duvall fans were shocked to find out that the iconic actress had dated one of the members of The Beatles.
A photo resurfaced of Ringo Starr taking selfie with Duvall on the set of classic 1980 horror film The Shining – which she starred in alongside Jack Nicholson – leaving fans shocked that they were ever together.
The snap was posted on popular Reddit subreddit /r/oldschool and many commenters were bewildered that the two were ever romantically involved.

Duvall had dated Beatles drummer Ringo Starr; the former couple are seen in London in the late 1970s
One wrote: ‘did not know they had been a couple. she must have had a thing for musicians.’
Duvall – who died at 75 of complications from diabetes in July 2024 – had dated Simon & Garfunkel Paul Simon from 1976 to 1979.
The actress and Starr, now 85, had a brief romance as she filmed The Shining in London back in 1978 though not much is known about their relationship.
The two were spotted together at Heathrow Airport around the time.
The iconic actress, who played Wendy Torrance in the legendary 1980 Stanley Kubrick horror film died in her sleep at her Blanco, Texas home last year.
