Fans were left shocked after images of a very thin Lara Worthington emerged from the 2024 GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney on Wednesday night.
The 37-year-old model turned heads for all the wrong reasons in a green and yellow checkered gown that exposed the mother-of-four’s bony shoulders and extremely prominent spine.
‘I will be honest. I got an actual fright with Lara’s back…’ commented one observer online.
Another critic said Lara’s markedly changed appearance was ‘down to all the body fat she has lost, the spine looks shocking too.’
Many more commented on Worthington’s weight loss, writing, ‘Lara looks too thin her prettiness has gone’
‘Is Mrs Worthington on Ozempic too?’ mused another.

‘Lara had face work she looks totally different and way too skinny,’ one commented.
Another added, ‘I am not a fan of her skinny boney look. Sorry.’
Lara’s night at the Sydney-based awards show got off to a bumpy start when a red carpet interview with the couple went horribly wrong on live TV.
Channel Seven reporter Sally Bowery introduced Sam’s 37-year-old wife to viewers of the Sydney event by her maiden name Lara Bingle – and it went down like a lead balloon.
‘Her name is Lara Worthington,’ the 48-year-old Avatar star clapped back.
‘It’s only been ten years,’ a clearly irritated Sam quickly added.
Bowery quickly apologised for her disastrous faux pas.
‘That was my slip,’ she said.

Late on in the evening, the Avatar star was crowned GQ’s Man of the Year.
The couple arrived Down Under with their young family on Tuesday.
The model arrived at Sydney Airport on Tuesday alongside her husband, Sam Worthington, and their three young sons, Racer, eight, River, four and Rocket, nine.
The notoriously private couple welcomed their son River in a shroud of secrecy, with estimates that his birth happened sometime between March and June in 2020.
Their older sons were born in 2015 and 2016.
When it comes to fatherhood, Sam told Stellar magazine he doesn’t always get it right, but tries his best.
‘I’ve tried to handle [fame] carefully. It is hard; there’s no book to tell you how to do it. There’s no set of rules,’ he told the publication.

‘I have made a few mistakes. And that’s okay. You grow from that’.
Sam also stressed that it’s important to him that his sons know a normal life full of sports and cartoons like any other kid, far from the trappings of fame.
‘Now I’ve got kids, it’s more a case of protecting my kids from [attention],’ he said at the time.
‘At the moment, my kids don’t care what their dad does. They don’t look at my job in any spectacular way.
‘They just want me to take them to soccer practice and hang out and watch Paw Patrol. You’re doing your best to have this balance, and that’s all you can do.’
Lara also told The Daily Telegraph that the pair, who met in 2013, are enjoying growing old together.
‘As a family unit, we’re all very close. We’ve only got each other. Sam and I are a good team’ she said.
Lara and Sam began dating in 2013 and married secretly in 2014
