Whitney Cummings shocked fans after she shared video of herself holding her six-month-old child up in front of a bucking horse.
The comedienne, 41, was slammed as ‘completely irresponsible’ after she Instagrammed a clip of herself interacting with the excited animal as she held her baby boy.
In the video, posted Monday, Cummings gleefully held her son up to the animal – who raised their legs into the air as her child giggled with joy.
She took several paces in reverse as she asked her friend, who was out of frame, if they had captured the moment on camera.

Whitney playfully held her son towards the horse once more as the animal repeated the same joyful movement, lifting his two front legs into the air before placing them back onto the ground.
‘You love it?’ Whitney asked her baby, who was still giggling.
‘He’s a cowboy, baby,’ Whitney captioned the post.
While many fans felt the video captured a cute moment, others slammed Whitney for what they perceived to be a potentially hazardous situation.
One blasted Whitney as ‘completely irresponsible’ and accused her of using the child for social media likes.
‘No matter how well trained that horse is, it’s still an animal and something could go terribly wrong. Using your baby for an Instagram like is completely irresponsible,’ one fan posted.
Another called it ‘a bit unnecessary.’
‘Seems a bit unnecessary… horse could knock you both out in a second with an unpredictable movement,’ another wrote.

A viewer who claimed to have been raised on a horse farm branded the video ‘completely reckless.’
‘As someone who grew up on a horse farm, this is completely reckless behavior,’ they wrote. ‘Horses are extremely sensitive to energies. Your instinct should be to never do this. Not only do horses kick with enough force to kill an adult. They can also trample. Like, how many of these psychotic videos are we going to witness. This poor baby has been a prop from day one.’

Whitney previously opened up about undergoing equine therapy and the rescue horse she adopted
‘I grew up around horses… I started doing equine therapy because there’s a certain point where you are so crazy that therapists can no longer help you,’ she explained on the Rachael Ray Show back in 2017.
‘The whole thing about the way that we live today is we all want to be in control, we want results, we want to be perfect, we have a list… horses you can’t control them. They’re stronger than you. So the picking up of the foot, they only will pick it up for you if they know that it’s important to you and if you’re not trying to pressure them or rush them,’ she explained.
‘The horses are sensing “you’re being desperate”… but as soon as you’re like, “if you want to do this, cool, if you don’t, fine, they’ll do it for you.” So usually when I get in there with them the first thing that I do is cry just because you have so much kind of emotion.’
Whitney explained she adopted a former dressage horse for just a dollar. ‘I bought him for a dollar and I rescued him!’
The latest Instagram video comes six months after Whitney welcomed her son, her very first child, into the world.
She gave birth to her baby boy in December 2023.
‘3-D printed a human. Enjoy me never having brushed hair again,’ she captioned her very first snap of the child.
