Willie Nelson fans have shared their support for the music legend after he canceled his own concert on Tuesday following a recent spat with an illness.
The 91-year-old singer-songwriter was forced to miss the opening dates of his Outlaw Music Festival Tour because he was ‘not feeling well.’
After being cleared by his doctors to perform again on Saturday, Nelson opted out of his Tuesday night show in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
‘Willie Nelson is looking forward to seeing everyone in Camden on July 4. He will not be performing in Mansfield today,’ his team said.
‘Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, and Celisse will perform as scheduled. In addition, Lukas Nelson and Family, along with some special guests, will once again play his own set that will include Willie’s classics and other songs.’

‘I missed seeing Willie over this past weekend in NY and NJ, but Lukas did a phenomenal job filling in! We are trying again on the 4th and I hope he’s there then, but more importantly, I hope he is better soon. I have loved Willie my entire life,’ said one fan.
‘All that matters is that Willie is alright. Take good care of him Lukas, After all there is only ONE Willie Nelson,’ said another.
A third fan said, ‘Tell us what’s up with Willie Nelson already, I’m worried about the man.’
‘How can anyone be upset for a 91 year old man not performing? Let him rest when he wants. It is disappointing yes, but to get too upset is selfish. Lukas is really great and not disappointing at all. He’s definitely like seeing the young Willie and he has amazing songs of his own. Willie, just get better first,’ one person said.
‘Willie-Rest! We love you and just want you to do what you need to do for your health!!! Your fans are here for you always,’ another said.
One fan said, ‘We love you Willie! Take care of YOU! Rest up. Full recovery and complete healing vibes to you. We will wait for you for forever. Take what you need. We all are supporting and loving you!’
‘It’s alright Willie, your music performs itself forever in our hearts and minds,’ another fan said.
‘Hoping he’s better soon, sounds good he’ll be able to do the 4th but honestly the man is 91. Give him a break, geez,’ said one person.
The Outlaw Music Fest Tour kicked off on June 21 in Alpharetta, Georgia, and is set to wrap up September 20 in Gilford, New Hampshire.
Nelson previously had to cancel his 2019 tour with Krauss, 52, as he announced ‘a breathing problem’ he had to have treated.
The cannabis connoisseur revealed later that year that he gave up smoking weed following the health scare.

He has credited cannabis as ‘a good medicine and I’m glad that it’s being accepted around the country, and I’ll be glad when every state in the union legalizes it, because I think it will be healthy for everybody.’
In addition to releasing his 75th solo studio album The Border in May, Nelson was also recently featured on the ‘Smoke Hour’ interludes of Beyoncé’s highly-anticipated Cowboy Carter album.
