Angus stars in the new hit, alongside a star-studded cast including Melissa Barrera, Kathryn Newton, Dan Stevens and Alisha Weir.
Since the star’s passing, many members of the cast have been vocal about the star and his infectious personality on set.
Dan, who played Acteur in the film, admitted that he has never met any like Angus and saw him as a little brother.
He said: ‘Angus was incredible, he was so unique and I’ve never met anyone like him. He was like all of our little brothers on set, and we loved him very much, and we miss him very much.
‘I love that this film has a tribute to him at the end, and he would have loved this; he would’ve laughed his arse off,’ the actor said.
Dublin-born actress Alisha, who played Abigail, added: ‘Every single cast member was so incredible, and Angus brought so much joy to the set.
‘Every single day he would make everybody smile and I’m so so honoured and so grateful, not just to have worked with him, but to have known such a beautiful person who is so amazing and beautiful inside and out.
‘He shared that with every single person on the cast.’
The horror film was directed by Scream 6’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who spoke to Variety to share their memories of making the film with Angus.
Director Tyler revealed that working with Angus was a fun affair and he was actually shocked to work with an actor who forces other cast members to pay attention.
Tyler told the publication: ‘It was just so evident how much fun he was having. I don’t think we’ve ever worked with somebody that forces the other actors in the scene to pay attention.’
He continued: ‘There’s not a false moment in anything that he does. He kind of gave everyone permission to be a little weird and take some swings that maybe they wouldn’t have otherwise, just because of how natural and charismatic he is in a scene.’
After the cast and crew returned to work following the end of the strikes, Matt added: ‘Everybody involved really wanted to make sure that we finished the movie strong and did Angus justice. We felt a responsibility.’
Angus died from an ‘accidental overdose’ of cocaine, meth and fentanyl. He was found unresponsive in his family home and was pronounced dead on the scene by responders
Sharing more behind-the-scenes details about Angus’ impact on the film, Matt revealed that Angus personally chose the song his character sings along to in one particular scene.
‘He was like, ‘I can’t believe we’re getting this song in a f*****g movie!” he said. ‘To everybody’s credit involved, it was just never on the table to cut it. It was like, ‘No, that meant a lot to Angus. Let’s let that be a part of the movie.”
Matt confirmed that all scenes of Angus included in the film are the ones that he filmed. There is no CGI or digital recreations involved when it comes to Angus’ scenes.
‘Every single thing of Angus is Angus in the movie,’ he said. ‘There’s not even an ADR line off-camera that we needed for story. It’s all Angus.’
Angus died from an ‘accidental overdose’ of cocaine, meth and fentanyl.
He was found unresponsive in his family home and was pronounced dead at the scene by responders.
Alameda County Coroner’s office said: ‘Angus Cloud died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more, in what is ruled as an accidental overdose.
‘Angus suffered from acute intoxication from the combination of drugs, which also included benzodiazepine.’
A week before his death, he had traveled to Ireland to bury his father, who died in May after a ‘brief battle with cancer’.
Conor Hickey died on May 18, 2023, aged 65, leaving the actor ‘struggling with grief’.
His family initially suggested that the actor may have committed suicide, before clarifying that it was ‘abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world.’
Angus’s mother, Lisa, called 911 and said he had suffered a ‘possible overdose’, telling authorities that he didn’t have a pulse.
Law enforcement sources say Angus did not leave behind a note before his death, according to TMZ.
His mother posted an emotional tribute to her son, who played Fezco O’Neill on the HBO show, saying: ‘Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time.
‘I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one.’
The star reportedly ‘reorganised’ his room shortly before his death, with his mother adding that he mentioned wanting to help family members with college.
‘I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body,’ she said. ‘I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn’t wake up.
‘We may find out that he overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world.’
‘Social media posts have suggested his death was intentional. I want you to know that is not the case. To honor his memory, please make random acts of kindness part of your daily life.’
Lisa and Conor shared three children, their eldest Angus, followed by twin daughters Molly and Fiona Hickey.
Angus had paid tribute to his late father on Instagram in one of his final social media posts just two weeks before his tragic death.
He shared a touching image of his smiling father in a red hoodie and red sweats, stating in the caption, ‘miss u breh.’
Tributes quickly flooded in for the actor from Euphoria producers, castmates and fellow actors.
HBO said in a statement: ‘We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud.
‘He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.
‘We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.’
Angus was one of the breakout stars of Euphoria, appearing in both series of the Sam Levinson-directed drama alongside Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi.
He was most often in scenes alongside his partner in crime Ashtray, played by Javon Walton.
Angus was discovered by Euphoria casting director Jennifer Venditti while working as a waiter in Brooklyn, which lead to him making his acting debut on the HBO series as the drug dealer Fezco.
He would go on to star in movies such as North Hollywood with Vince Vaughn and Miranda Cosgrove and The Line with Alex Wolff and Halle Bailey, with three more films either filming or in post-production.
