Married at First Sight UK viewers branded Brad ‘gross’ and ‘controlling’, and accused him of ‘love bombing’ his wife Shona during Monday’s episode of the show.
Groom Brad and bride Shona appeared to have got on very well together during the first few instalments of the series and had been extremely tactile with each other.
However, things took a turn when Brad went behind Shona’s back and approached the programme’s other couples to discuss his relationship with her, branding her ‘naive’, ‘immature’ and ‘selfish’.
Shona admitted she was disappointed with Brad, saying she thought they started off brilliantly but was left to believe she had fallen out of favour with him, prompting viewers to accuse Brad of ‘love bombing’ Shona.
She told Brad: ‘I am feeling really rubbish today. I saw you talking to Laura and I thought you guys were having a good chat so to hear that my husband was just kind of like ripping into me, that’s what it felt like.

Troubles: Brad went behind Shona’s back and approached the programme’s other couples to discuss his relationship with her, branding her ‘naive’, ‘immature’ and ‘selfish’
‘It was hurtful for me to hear you saying like, “Shona’s naive, she’s selfish or she’s childish. She’s 31 but she’s forgetful”.
‘You sat and told people really intimate things about us. I feel so flat.’
Brad replied: ‘It was more of a case of just venting to people because there was just things that I was noticing a lot that I’d mentioned to you in the past, that was continuing to happen. Sometimes it’s nice to speak to friends about things.’
Shona interjected: ‘Just not everyone in the room.’
‘I can understand where you’re coming from in respect of you don’t want everybody to know our business and I’ll take that on board because I didn’t know that was something you’d be uncomfortable with,’ said Brad.
He continued: ‘I apologise for ever making you feel a certain way, negatively, because I never want to do that.’
Shona told him: ‘I feel like you just have to try and love my imperfections a bit. Don’t get so irritated by them.’
To which Brad said: ‘I’ve got to learn to love the… they’re not imperfections… but the way I feel about you is more important.’

‘Wow Brad what a snake…. He’s really belittled Shona there…I always suspected he wasn’t a nice guy,’ wrote another show fan.
Another person remarked: ‘Brad. Think he’s a secret control freak. Shona should run and don’t turn around.’
