Sophie Monk horrified viewers on Tuesday night as they tuned into Lego Masters.

The singer, who rose to fame in girl group Bardot in the early 2000s, belted out the Australian national anthem, as well as the anthems for America and Germany.

Those watching at home were underwhelmed with Sophie’s efforts, with many mocking her singing voice.

‘Wish I had more of the alcohol I had this afternoon’ wrote one person on X.

‘WTF happened to Sophie Monk’s voice – for someone who started their career as a singer she sounded like she was singing out of her ass’ another said.

‘This is a bit disrespectful isn’t it’ one wrote while someone else said, ‘Seriously. That is fully forced feeling and bit of disrespect. Losing it’.

‘Instant mood killer Sophie’ said another, while one more wrote, ‘If only they could’ve afforded the auto tune machine for Sophie I had to mute that. That was awful.’

Some were more complimentary, with one person saying, ‘And yet… still better than Nickleback’.

Sophie, who has appeared on the show several times, is a big fan of Lego and told a recent issue of Woman’s Day that while expensive, her hobby is fruitful.

‘Buying Lego is actually an investment because they sell for crazy amounts, so it’s one of my better financial decisions, I think,’ the 44-year-old said.

She added that building Lego sets assists her in coping with her ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder).

‘It is because it keeps you busy with your hands and because you’re creating a little world – you can really focus,’ she told the publication.
