Home Alone fans have been shocked to learn Succession star Kieran Culkin starred in the family movie alongside his brother Macaulay Culkin.
After winning Best Actor at the Golden Globes over the weekend, Kieran, 41, was featured in an Instagram post from the Screenthrill account.
The post showed a split picture of young Kieran starring as Kevin McCallister’s cousin Fuller in the hit Christmas movie on top, with a snap of Kieran accepting his award on the bottom.
The caption read ‘Kieran Culkin is now a Golden Globe winning actor,’ and the post sent fans into meltdown in the comments.
‘WHYYYY DIDN’T I KNOW THAT WAS HIS BROTHER!!! WHAT!!!?’ exclaimed one person, while another wrote ‘I was today year old when I found out this was Macaulay’s brother!?’

‘I knew they were brothers but I never knew he played Fuller in Home Alone,’ said another Instagram commenter.
‘Still isn’t allowed soda too close to bedtime,’ joked another user, referencing a plot point in Home Alone about Kieran’s character wetting the bed.

The Jesse Armstrong helmed dramedy joined Oppenheimer in dominating the winners’ categories, with Succession taking away Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Female Actor and Best Television Series.
At the 81st Annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles stars and cast including Kieran, Sarah Snook, Frank Rich, Jesse, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, Alan Ruck and J. Smith-Cameron hit the stage to accept the gongs.
Kieran – who stars as the youngest Roy sibling Roman – beat co-stars Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong to win Best Actor, saying in his speech: ‘This isn’t mine, this is one for the team. It’s been said, but it’s a team effort, this show.’

Matthew scored the Best Supporting Actor Award for his role as Tom Wambsgan, saying: ‘I just adored every second playing the weird and wonderful human grease stain that is Tom Wambsgans’, while his on-screen wife Sarah won best Actress.
Succession, which first aired in 2018, follows the story of the cutthroat Roy family, headed by Brian’s character Logan, battling it out to tale control of the world’s biggest media conglomerate when the patriarch steps down.
The final episode of Succession saw the fate and future of the Roy children and the company their late father Logan created hanging in the balance.

The series built up to the last episodes, as Logan’s children – Kendall (Jeremy), Roman, Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Connor (Alan Ruck) – get ready for the final Waystar Royco board vote on the merger with Lukas Matsson’s (Alexander Skarsgard) GoJo.
The 90-minute series finale is directed by Mark Mylod and written by series creator Jesse Armstrong, and after many twists and turns, it is Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen) who ultimately takes over as Waystar CEO, under new owner Matsson.
Kieran, who plays Roman Roy in the show, won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series
