Fans of BBC show Death In Paradise have been left in shock after Ralf Little’s potential departure from the show as DI Neville Parker was ‘confirmed’.
In the latest episode, DI Parker, the show’s main character, revealed that he was leaving the island of Saint Marie, where the series is set.
This unexpected turn of events prompted speculation from viewers that the character may be axed.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans expressed their heartbreak at the possibility of Ralf Little not appearing on the show again.
One upset user wrote: ‘Cruel just cruel! I can’t wait a week to see what happens next.’

A second lamented: ‘Really don’t want Neville to leave death in Paradise he’s brilliant I really hope it’s not true’.
Another fumed: ‘Why would you do that??? Neville better not be on that plane’.
Episode 14 of the series saw Neville work alongside with returning fan favourite DS Florence Cassell (Joséphine Jobert) while also hinting to viewers that Neville confirm his plans to leave the island.
At one stage in the episode, when Naomi pays Neville a visit, she asks when he might be planning to pack his belongings.
Neville coyly replies: ‘I’ve still got loads to do, stuff to buy for my trip, accommodation to book. Plus I need to make a list of Harry’s dietary requirements for whoever moves in next.
‘I was going to make a start on it last night but I got distracted by the case.’
Reacting to this moment from the show, a fourth said: ‘Why would you do that??? Neville better not be on that plane’.
Referencing their zeal for the show’s finale, a further post read: ‘I will be waiting. But will miss Neville hugely’.

The final scene saw Neville have a final video call with Florence before boarding a plane after having farewell drinks with his colleagues.
He told Florence: ‘I am at the airport – I just had my leaving drinks; the Commissioner made a little speech, broadly complimentary. It’s the nicest he’s ever been to me. The only thing missing was you.’
After she apologised for not being there, Neville added: ‘Well that is me, I better go catch my flight. I guess this is goodbye – again.’
The Series 13 finale of Death In Paradise airs on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday March 24.
