Coronation Street has experienced another major schedule shake up this week after ITV confirmed the latest changes on Tuesday.
Friday’s episode of the soap has been cancelled tonight to make space on the schedule for the Rugby World cup match.
Viewers normally get their fix of the Weatherfield drama at 8pm on Friday night, after Emmerdale, however they will have to wait until next week for their next hit of the drama.
The soap, which usually airs on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening, has been facing recent disruption due to both football and rugby coverage recently and fans are certainly not happy.
This week fans were given double episodes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to make up for Friday’s cancellation.

Taking to Twitter earlier this week to express their outrage, fans of the Manchester soap claimed the changes were ‘absolutely ridiculous’ after the schedule was thrown into chaos again.
One wrote: ‘This absolutely ridiculous! Can’t cope with this anymore,’ alongside a series of red anger emojis.
The schedule change is once again due to the Rugby World cup, and some fans were keen to highlight the unfairness when the soap is forced to substitute its slot for the sport.
One wrote: ‘For God’s sake! Not again! Why do you always put football first? There are so many sports channels – some which are free to view!’
Another commented: ‘All this daft messing around with the schedule just to accommodate stupid rugby! ITV needs to turn that pointless ITV2 channel into a sports channel and dump all their sport on that!’
A third added: ‘How long is this bl***y rugby gonna last! Can’t they stick it on another channel! Sick of soaps getting messed about for sport!’
Update: This week the episodes aired for three consecutive days at the start of the week, airing from 8pm to 9pm Monday to Wednesday to make up for Friday’s cancellation

Drama! In the latest edition of Super Soap Week, Stephen tries to escape Weatherfield while the residents discover that he’s already claimed three victims
It comes after Carla Barlow started to unravel serial killer Stephen Reid’s crime during Wednesday’s episode.
The Underworld manager played by Alison King, discovered that she was in fact spiked with LSD after sending her hair off for testing.
She had assumed someone had triggered her ‘mental health struggle’ by secretly slipping her drugs earlier this year and finally got her answer.
After telling Peter Barlow about her discovery, Carla headed back to work where she thought about who could be behind the spiking.
When Underworld worker Michael Bailey brought his manager a coffee, with the wrong milk, he explained that Stephen and Sarah usually make the brews.
The comment was all Carla needed to link the LSD spiking to Stephen and quickly called him into the room to confront him.
Although he denied her accusations, she went to meet with DS Swain, but unfortunately the policewomen explained that Carla didn’t have enough proof.
