Ed Sheeran sent fans into meltdown on Wednesday as he announced a special edition of his second album X will be released next month.
The singer, 33, will celebrate the album’s 10th anniversary with the re-release on Friday 21 June, which is a decade to the day when it originally hit the charts.
Ed will also perform a one off show at New York’s Barclays Centre, with the setlist reflecting his X Wembley edition release from 2015.
X, released in 2014 – was the catalyst behind his global ascent. An LP that has now exceeded 22 million global sales, it generated the smash hits Don’t, Sing, Photograph, Bloodstream, and Thinking Out Loud.
Outside of the original tracklisting, nine bonus tracks will feature on the individual formats of the anniversary editions, all of which have never been released on vinyl.

It comes as Little Mix star Perrie Edwards discussed her upcoming collaboration with Ed last month
The exclusive, general on-sale, powered by Seated, will begin for the selected fans on Monday, May 6th at 10am ET via Ticketmaster.
It comes as Little Mix star Perrie Edwards discussed her upcoming collaboration with Ed last month.
And as she covered the Spring/Summer issue of Rollacoaster Magazine, Perrie revealed what fans can expect from her new music.
While the musician co-wrote Forget About Us with Ed, 33, she also announced the duo had collaborated for a second song.
Perrie explained: ‘I feel like all the collaborations happened organically. With Ed Sheeran, he had a song and he rang me about it and we discussed the concept.’
She continued: ‘I loved the melody, loved the vibe—I look up to him so much, I think he’s one of the most talented humans put on earth.
‘He’s also such a nice and genuine person, so that’s why I felt comfortable to be like, “I love it, but conceptually, it’s not me. I’m not at that stage in my life right now. Would you be okay if I tweaked the lyrics to suit me and my life?”
‘And he was just like, “Of course!” He wanted me to have full ownership of it, so I went away and did that.’
For another heart-charged hit, she enlisted six-BRIT-Award-winner, RAYE.
‘Getting in the studio with her was ridiculous, she just oozes stardom, I can’t explain it—I think she’s one of the greatest artists of our generation.
‘I’ve been very lucky that the people I have idolised have been really nice to work with—there’s been no big egos or intimidating moments, I think that’s what made the experience so special for me.’
