The former couple's marital status was terminated on Sunday, per TMZ, after the divorce judgment was entered on March 24.
Neither party was ordered spousal support as part of the split, but Jahaira has asked the court to revisit that decision, according to documents obtained by the outlet.
Jahaira, who works as a professional dancer, said her income is unpredictable and therefore needs assistance from her ex.
James – best known for his role as Richie Crawford on the beloved ABC series – earns about $34K a month, according to his ex-wife's filing.

Jahaira outlined that her profession is dependent upon live performances, rehearsals, touring gigs, and short-term contracts.
She claimed in her filing that she does not have a salaried position that enables her to maintain the lifestyle established in her marriage.

Less than a year ago the soap star took to Instagram to hype up his then-wife Jahaira, Swoon reported, though the page was taken down in the months since.

The actor continued: 'Her journey is what inspiration wants to be when it grows up. And I am beyond proud to be a witness to her art as we share this life together.'
Jahaira responded, according to Swoon, 'Sharing this life and this stage with you is the greatest gift. Thank you for seeing me the way you do.'
James was previously married to Ashley Leisinger.
They wed March 16, 2011, in a ceremony his The Young & the Restless co-star Christian LeBlanc presided over. They split in February 2014, according to Swoon.
Before getting married to Jahaira, James dated co-star Brytni Sarpy.
