And on Friday, presenter Shelley Craft took to her socials to announce that the Channel Nine ratings juggernaut is about to start filming its 20th anniversary series.
The 47-year-old real estate agent celebrated the news with a post featuring The Block’s beloved host Scott Cam.
In the candid selfie, Shelley stood on a building site and posed with Scott alongside two members of The Block’s production crew.
‘Filming of The Block 2024 is on the way,’ Shelley wrote in the caption.

It comes after realestate.com.au revealed the contestants for the 20th anniversary season last month.
Jesse and Paige will make up the Blue Team and will represent WA as they take on this year’s season of The Block.
Paige has a Bachelor of Arts and Commerce degree, focusing on marketing and public relations, which will come in handy when TV drama emerges.

Meanwhile 30-year-old Jesse is an avid Rugby fan.
The identities of Team Red is at this stage unknown, but the duo are another male-female team.
The female contestant appears to have long brown hair while the male sports a beard.
Two young men will represent Team Yellow on the upcoming season.
Five teams will take part in the 20th anniversary season of Nine’s ratings juggernaut.
While filming a promo for the hit TV show, contestants were spotted wearing work boots while team yellow sported fish shoes.
The yellow team appear to be a fan of water sports after they were caught loading a kayak onto the roof of a car.
Team Greem, meanwhile, will be partners Kylie and Brad who are rumoured to represent Queensland on the anniversary season.
The couple have even been taking time to stop for selfies with local fans on Phillip Island.

Newlyweds Kristian and Mimi Belperio make up Team Purple and will reportedly represent South Australia.
The couple are no strangers to the spotlight after the pair went viral on TikTok for their Disney themed wedding in Adelaide in 2023.
And it has already been teased that team purple will bring the drama for the 20th anniversary season.
A source told Yahoo Lifestyle ‘The feeling is that we have bought some serious dynamite with these two and we are just waiting for an explosion.’
Partners Kylie (pictured) and Brad are rumoured to represent Queensland on the anniversary season.
The source went on to say: ‘The show is designed to put people in situations where they feel uncomfortable so that even the nicest contestants will blow up at things that are not that big of a deal.’

Situated two-and-a-half hours from Melbourne, the location currently features nine homes, a communal pool, a BBQ pavilion, tennis court and a children’s playground.
Local residents have even created a Facebook page dedicated to posting rumours, photos and videos of the highly anticipated season.
It has been reported that the show won’t go to air until August.
