Jasmine Ellis Cooper revealed that she was pregnant with a baby boy during an interview with People that was released on Thursday.
The 31-year-old star of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard stated that she was enthusiastic about becoming a mother.
The Bravo star also shared that she was particularly ‘excited to join the boy mom gang.’
Cooper began her interview by speaking about the moment she found out that she was carrying a child. ‘One day, I was just feeling a little weird and, you know how you have a gut feeling? I took a test and it came out positive,’ she said.
The father is her husband Silas Cooper.

Just as excited: Cooper also recalled that Silas, whom she married in June of 2022, became ‘really emotional and shed a tear or two’ after learning that he was going to be a father
The reality television star then recalled that she immediately shared her excitement with her husband Silas, who also appeared on Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.
She stated: ‘I literally just ran into the other room, I jumped on him and said, “We’re pregnant! We did it!'”‘
Cooper also recalled that Silas, whom she married in June of 2022, became ‘really emotional and shed a tear or two’ after learning that he was going to be a father.
She added: ‘I wish I would have documented it, but the way he reacted is cemented in my brain.’
The reality television figure went on to state that she was happy to be able to start a family with her husband.
‘I think Silas is going to be a phenomenal role model and father, and just having fun moments at home. Him being able to come home to the family we’re building is what I look forward to the most,’ she said.
The star then spoke about maintaining a long-distance relationship with her husband, who is currently deployed in Poland with the Army Reserves.
‘We’re able to communicate via WhatsApp every now and again when he has a chance. We take every moment we can, especially with the time difference,’ she said.

Cooper added: ‘The first year was not the easiest, it was very complex and we were pulled in so many different directions. So to be at this point now feels like a blessing, like a reward for just staying committed to our family.’
The Bravo star also discussed how her status as a parent would likely influence her career as a screenwriter.
‘It’s really special to approach motherhood, knowing all the phenomenal stories centered around youth and children that are out there,’ she said.
Cooper also hinted that she may be looking to expand her family in the future, and stated: ‘We have had names picked out for a while for all of our children.’
