Hollywood actress Eva Longoria expressed her desire for a Desperate Housewives reboot as made an appearance on Thursday’s Loose Women.

The American star, 49, known for her role as cheating wife Gabrielle Solis, also weighed in on the show’s lack of intimacy coordinator during her very racy scenes on set.

She confessed to the panel – made up of Kaye Adams,  Nadia Sawalha, Denise Welch and Olivia Atwood – that she would be the ‘first one to sign up’ if the show returned.

In the show she pursued her dream of becoming a New York model, and after a few years of success she traded her career to move to the suburbs with her new husband, Carlos Solis.

But soon enough she became bored with her life and began an affair with her underaged gardener, John Rowland, played by Jesse Metcalfe.

When asked if she would return to the show if there was a reboot, Eva told the panel: ‘Everybody asks me a hundred times a day if we’re going to do a reboot and I’d be the first one to sign up!

‘I’d be on Wisteria Lane right now waiting for the crew because I loved my time on that show, I loved all the women. And I miss Gaby, I miss being in her skin.’

‘I was just talking to Carlos – who played my husband on the show – today because we are both in Spain and I talk to a lot of the girls a lot of the time.

‘They were such a big part of my life… I will always be so grateful to those women who took me under their wing and showed me the way.’

But the actress did reveal that during the filming of the show, which was from 2004 to 2012, there were no intimacy coordinators and so she believed her ‘naivety was a good thing’.

She said, ‘It’s funny because my naivety was a good thing back then because I was like ‘yeah ok’ and we were on Network Television which is very different from streaming so we weren’t that risky… but I’m so happy that there are intimacy coordinators now!’

Now Eva lives a far cry away from her alter ego as Gabrielle as she is happily married to José Bastón.

The pair have recently decided to quit Los Angeles for a life in Spain over fears their five-year-old son, Santiago, will get ‘sucked into the Hollywood cycle’ if they don’t escape the States, insiders claimed.

The actress and Mexican businessman Jose, 56, recently slashed the price of their eight-bedroom Beverly Hills pad from $22.8 to $18.9 million – and have already started shipping their belongings to their newly renovated home in Marbella, Spain.

‘Eva and José are leaving Los Angeles for good and have put their home up for sale again,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘They took it off the market in June but recently relisted it for $4 million less in February because they are just ready to get out.’

This is still $5.4 million more than what they splashed out to purchase the 11,000 square-foot home in 2017.

‘They are already shipping their belongings there and this is not something that they will change their mind on.

The source added: ‘They are moving to their home in Spain full time and are both so excited about it. She has had everything that she wanted in Hollywood.’

The Desperate Housewives star – who married José in 2016 – purchased a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mega mansion in Marbella in early 2023, with the couple hiring architect and interior designer Nicolás Escanez to help renovate.

The 1,531-square-meter villa also boasts an indoor pool, sauna, and a state-of-the-art home gym.
