Eva Longoria touched down in the U.S. this week to promote her new docuseries Necaxa.
The Desperate Housewives alum, 50, has been living abroad, splitting her time between Mexico and Spain with husband José Bastón and their seven-year-old son Santiago.
On Wednesday, she was spotted arriving at Good Morning America to talk about the series, which follows her journey as a co-owner of Mexican soccer club Club Necaxa and her efforts to turn the team around — in the same spirit as Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s high-profile takeover of Wrexham.
Ryan and Rob are also among Necaxa’s investors, and Longoria revealed what advice they offered when she took on the challenge.
‘They said prepare for heartbreak,’ Eva shared on the ABC talk show. ‘Cause sports is so emotional, with all the ups and the downs. It is an emotional roller coaster.’
The actress also weighed in on where her iconic character Gaby Solis would be today, more than a decade after Desperate Housewives wrapped.

‘Oh Gaby? She’d be an influencer,’ Longoria quipped. ‘She probably would have been the original fashion influencer.’
She didn’t stop there — Longoria also dished on Bree Van de Kamp, played by Marcia Cross.
‘And Bree too, Bree would have probably been the first Martha Stewart,’ she added with a laugh.
When host Michael Strahan reminded her it had been 21 years since the primetime soap premiered and became a cultural phenomenon, Longoria fired back with her trademark wit.
’21 years… and I look the same,’ she joked, before adding, ‘No, but it was one of the best times in my life and I have such fond memories of the show.’
The Good Morning America appearance comes on the heels of a romantic sighting in Beverly Hills just a few weeks ago, where Longoria was seen packing on the PDA with her husband.
It comes after Eva revealed the surprising secrets behind her happy marriage to José, with the star admitting that she doesn’t think of her husband as a ‘best friend’.
The pair first began dating in 2013, before going on to tie the knot three years later, and the actress noted that something that has always helped their relationship is the fact they ‘don’t compete for attention’.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, the Only Murders In The Building star gushed: ‘He makes me laugh, and he’s a really good partner, and he supports me in everything I do.
‘I support him in everything he does. We don’t compete for attention or spotlight.’
Naturally, the L’Oréal Paris spokesperson’s position in the industry often means that she has to actively remain in the spotlight.
However, her husband shies away from the limelight – to the point where he actually begged the actress to keep him out of her social media posts.
Eva continued: ‘He loves for me to be on the red carpet. It’s one place he hates and he hates it.
‘He hates Instagram. He’s like, “please don’t put me on your Instagram.” That’s why he’s never on my social media. Once a while I try to slip him in there.’
The Beverly Hills outing was a rare one for the couple, as Eva has been spending much of her time overseas.
Not long after last year’s U.S. elections, she made headlines for candid comments about her decision to relocate.

In an interview, the Texas native — who spent ‘my whole adult life’ in Los Angeles — explained that the ‘vibe’ in California had shifted even before COVID-19.
‘And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s*** on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now,’ she told Marie Claire.
The star continued: ‘I’m privileged. I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.’
Her blunt take on life in the U.S. fueled speculation that she had left the country in response to Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
But in reality, she had already purchased a home in Marbella in 2023, and by April 2024, insiders were confirming her plans to move abroad.
‘They want to raise their son in a place where he will be surrounded by nature and beauty and not be sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle,’ a source told the Daily Mail.
‘They are moving to their home in Spain full time and are both so excited about it. She has had everything that she wanted in Hollywood.’
Still, rumors swirled that politics had driven her decision — speculation Longoria herself later shot down.
She even phoned into The View: Behind the Table podcast, determined to set the record straight.
‘Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of Spain because of Trump?’ Eva asked, clarifying that she had ‘been in Europe working for almost three years.’
