Emmys 2024: Pedro Pascal’s Remark on Kieran Culkin Censored as He Playfully Blames Succession Co-Star for His Arm Injury

Pedro Pascal couldn’t resist the opportunity to roast Succession star Kieran Culkin, before presenting the award for best supporting actor in a drama at the Emmy Awards on Sunday.

While addressing why his left arm was in a sling, the heartthrob, 48, hilariously joked that the father-of-two, 41, caused his injury.

‘Before we get into the nominees for best supporting actor in a drama series, I’d like to take just a second and make this about me,’ Pascal, 48, said. ‘A lot of people have been asking about my arm; it’s actually my shoulder.’

He continued: ‘And I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s**t out of me.’

In response, Culkin stared blankly at the camera, before erupting into laughter.

Pascal’s quip got bleeped for using a cuss word, but the moment quickly went viral on X (previously known as Twitter).

In response to a video of the full moment, uploaded to the social media platform, which received 77, 700 views in less than 30 minutes, one viewer revealed they turned to X because ‘Fox bleeped the punchline.’

Another mused at Culkin looked like he ‘was trying so hard to not burst out laughing.’

‘Bro this was f**king hilarious,’ a third reacted.

Fans were divided over Culkin’s ‘death stare’ which almost made them think ‘he actually did it.’

Numerous viewers declared the playful rivalry between the actors as the highlight to this award show season.

‘Pedro Pascal and Kieran Culkin are the only ones that actually funny among all those award shows we’ve seen,’ one X user declared.

Last weekend, at the Golden Globes, upon winning Best Actor in a Drama Series at the Golden Globes, Culkin cheekily told Pascal to ‘suck it’ as he victoriously collected his trophy. which Pascal was also nominated for.

After his Golden Globes win, Culkin told ET that he sent Pascal a ‘text this morning’ that said: ‘Enjoy stealing my award today’… I hope he still likes me.’

‘I haven’t talked to him since the ‘suck it’ moment, so I hope we’re cool,’ he mused.

On Sunday night, he told the same outlet that he was ‘feeling better.’

Pascal previously revealed that he broke his arm after taking a nasty tumble, but did not elaborate on the details.

‘I fell,’ the Last of Us star told a reporter at the Golden Globes. ‘Be careful, it can happen to anybody!’

Despite the injury, he has not allowed his sling to hold him back from attending some of the biggest award show’s in Hollywood, or looking stylish at the events.
