Emmerdale fans have been left outraged by a ‘horrific’ piece of décor that features in Kim Tate’s kitchen, joking that they can’t imagine the character ‘ever going for anything like that’.
Eagle-eyed ITV viewers who were tuned in to the iconic soap opera on Monday night couldn’t help but spot the bizarre new addition to Home Farm.
The episode saw Kim, who’s played by Claire King, trying to uncover the mastermind who’s plotting her downfall.
Keen fans will know that Kim had to move out her beloved home following Rose Jackson’s (Christine Tremarco) plotting.
Viewers were first introduced to the character of Rose earlier this year, when she arrived as the ex-wife of Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and mother of Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).

However, a shock turn of events revealed that Rose also has a secret connection with Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly), who has her heart set on ruining Kim’s life – and is blackmailing Rose to do so.
Most recently, Rose plotted to frame Kim for a drink spiking incident, which led everyone to turn her back on her and saw her forced to move into the village bed and breakfast.
In Kim’s absence, Rose has been living in Home Farm and making herself comfortable, even treating herself to a candy floss machine.
However, it was an out-of-place item in the background of the scene that caught viewers’ attention – a sign in the kitchen that reads: ‘LIVE every moment, LAUGH, LOVE every day.’
Fans flocked to social media to reveal that their hatred towards the ‘tacky’ sign, writing:
‘They don’t seriously expect us to believe Queen Kim Tate would have Live Laugh Love decor #emmerdale.’
Another replied: ‘She doesn’t lol. I think it’s meant to show how Rose is changing things…and that she’s tacky af.’
‘The live laugh love classification of Home Farm is a step too far #Emmerdale.’

Another added: ‘That’s definitely new, isn’t it??? I can’t imagine Kim ever going for anything like that, nor the neon cocktail sign.’
The hilarious reaction follows the news that Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans are in for a treat as ITV bosses have announced a huge schedule shake-up in line with the Olympics.
Since the huge sporting event will be dominating airtime during the day on the BBC, ITV has stepped up its game with how it delivers the nation’s soap operas.
The new episodes will be released on their streaming platform ITVX at 7am on the days they are due to air, as well as being broadcast at their usual time in the evening.

Emmerdale and Coronation Street’s official X (formerly Twitter) accounts shared the exciting update on Monday morning, delighting fans.
They penned matching statements, which read: ‘We’re giving you a little treat this summer whilst the Olympics are on.
‘On each day of transmission, you can find Corrie and Emmerdale episodes on ITVX at 7am! But remember to keep this a spoiler free zone for those watching in the evenings.’
The savvy move from the broadcaster means viewers won’t have to miss out on Olympic coverage in order to get their soap fix.
It’s also something that the BBC have been doing with EastEnders for months, with most of their episodes dropping as early as 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
