Emma Willis has shared an update after undergoing heart surgery in a new interview with husband Matt.
Back in April Emma told fans she discovered she has had a hole in her heart since she was born and so had surgery at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
Keyhole heart surgery involves making small incisions in the chest as opposed to the breastbone as in traditional open heart surgery. This meant she avoided an open-heart recovery and instead had a ‘smooth’ recovery, but has had to learn to adjust.
In a new interview with the Mirror, Matt explained that he tried to take the lead in their household while Emma recovered, but he said: ‘She’s not very good at sitting still.’
Emma added: ‘I’m all good now. I had a bit of time off.’
The couple, who met in 2004 and share three children, went on to share their secrets to a happy marriage as they prepare to host Love Is Blind UK for the second year.

‘Love, time, commitment, compromise, f**k knows,’ Emma says. ‘I mean, hopefully we’ll still be going in another 20 years or 30 years or 40 years and then we’ll be in a box together!’
She went on to say: ‘We like to keep our eye across everything. So we don’t drop the ball, we make sure we have time for each other and prioritise that.’
Matt added: ‘Having children for us was such a massive thing. It changed everything. It takes it to a whole new level. It’s bonkers but I love it.’
Emma and Matt Willis have reportedly quit Love Is Blind UK’s spin-off show and a replacement host has been drafted in.
The hit dating show, hosted by married couple Matt and Emma, sees singles hoping to bag themselves a partner in a non-conventional way.
However, according to The Sun, the pair have taken a step back for the upcoming podcast set to air alongside the show next month.
TikToker Sarel, who posts regularly on the social media platform, will be stepping in instead.
An insider told the publication: ‘Matt and Emma loved doing it but they’re so, so busy – they couldn’t make their schedules work. Sarel is huge on TikTok and will be really popular with listeners.’
