Emma Roberts Shows Off Sparkling Engagement Ring

On Thursday, Emma Roberts gave her captive combined 26.1M social media followers a much closer look at the large diamond engagement ring she happily accepted from her towering fiancé Cody John on July 16.

The 33-year-old bride-to-be’s announcement had received congratulatory comments from a slew of celebrities: Lindsay Lohan, Ashley Tisdale, Billie Lourd, Julianne Hough, Kristin Chenoweth, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, JoJo, Isla Fisher, AnnaSophia Robb, Frances Bean Cobain, Nina Dobrev, Eiza González, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Luann de Lesseps, Helena Christensen, Maria Sharapova, Jonathan Scott, and Lukas Gage.

But Emma’s former Scream Queens co-star Lea Michele – who’s pregnant with her second child – went one step further, commenting: ‘Already planning the bachelorette! So happy for you babe!’

It’s been eight years since Roberts and the expecting 37-year-old portrayed Chanel Oberlin and Hester Ulrich aka Chanel #6 in the Ryan Murphy satirical slasher, which aired for two seasons on Fox.

August marks the Space Cadet producer-star’s two-year anniversary of dating the 33-year-old actor, whose film Jaunt premiered at the LA Greek Film Festival on June 8 following his guest-star gig on the April 29th episode of CBS’ NCIS.

Emma originally met Cody through mutual friends, and nothing is known about their relationship aside from the fact that they affectionately call each other ‘sheesh.’

Roberts was previously engaged to her Adult World leading man Evan Peters, whom she dated between 2012-2019.

Also included in the former child star’s new Instagram slideshow labeled ‘Goodbye July’ was her three-year-old son Rhodes Robert Hedlund from her two-year relationship with Desperation Road actor Garrett Hedlund, which ended in 2021.

‘[Being a mom is] the best and crazy,’ Emma told Jimmy Kimmel Live guest host Kathryn Hahn on July 9.

‘Everyone says there’s terrible twos, but twos were amazing because you just cart them around with you. And then threes, they’re like they’re becoming their own person and all they say is “No” and put me down. And all I want to do is cuddle and have them say yes.’

While on the New Jersey set of her film Maybe I Do back in 2022, Roberts’ co-star Diane Keaton picked up little Rhodes and she exclaimed: ‘Oh my God. I have tears in my eyes more than the day you were born!’

But the AHS: Delicate star forgot to take a picture since she ‘was trying to enjoy the moment.’

‘Big mistake. Huge,’ Emma said quoting her famous aunt Julia Robert’s film Pretty Woman.

Roberts is estranged from her biological father Eric Roberts, who left when she was seven months old and hasn’t been pictured with her since 2004.

The Belletrist co-founder will next executive produce the eight-episode second season of Meaghan Oppenheimer’s 2007-set college drama Tell Me Lies, which premieres September 4 on Hulu.

Emma’s upcoming acting projects include Alexis Ostrander’s thriller Fourth Wall, I. Marlene King’s series Calabasas, Meaghan Oppenheimer’s comedy series Second Wife for Hulu, Nathan Smith’s animated film Saurus City, and Katie Locke O’Brien’s comedy Hot Mess.

Worryingly, Roberts’ last three films have received absolutely dismal reviews from critics – Space Cadet (27%), Madame Web (11%), and Maybe I Do (32%).
