She was the glittering star of the Brit Awards, but there’s one place singer Raye tries to stay out of the limelight… on social media.
The 26-year-old has revealed a startling conversation with her therapist, when she was asked: ‘When do you feel like the voices in your head are being most evil to you?’ Her answer was telling: ‘When I’m on social media.’
With South Londoner Raye, real name Rachel Keen, now realising that social media was causing more harm than good, the Brit School alumna handed over her passwords to a trusted friend to run her accounts for her.
She also now gives herself a five-minute window if she ever wants to post something, as a kind of cooling-off period, and even has a separate phone solely for her social media accounts.

No sets please, we’re British
One producer has admitted almost an entire episode worth of footage was plucked from thin air for the series, starring Elizabeth Debicki (pictured)
The creators of The Crown have admitted the show isn’t meant to be historically accurate.
But if some of the sets looked unreal, too, it’s because they were: computerised visual effects were used for scenes in Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.

That’s almost 37 minutes of scenes, according to supervisor Joe Cork.
Hart to heart from Miranda …that’s £158
Miranda Hart charges a whopping £158 per video – each lasting between 40 and 60 seconds
Miranda Hart may have announced she was taking a break from acting in 2021, after the death of her beloved dog Peggy, but she’s still finding a way to rake in the dosh.
Turns out the comedian has amassed an eye-watering £40,000 recently, just from creating personalised video messages for fans on the website Cameo.
The 51-year-old charges a whopping £158 per video – each lasting between 40 and 60 seconds.
With more than 200 five-star reviews it seems she’s got a lot of happy customers. So many that maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised if she never returns to the small screen.
And if that guarantees no further episodes of her sitcom Miranda…
Hum’s gone to the frogs
Hum Fleming is currently dating Lord Goldsmith, who recently referred to her as his ‘future wife’
Glamourous socialite Hum Fleming may have met her prince in the form of Tory peer Zac Goldsmith, but she’s come across her fair share of frogs, too – imaginary ones, that is, after a recent bout of seizures caused by her epilepsy.
The 34-year-old great niece of James Bond author Ian Fleming tells me: ‘Over the past 21 years I’ve scared the hell out of friends, as well as confusing them when I dress and undress repeatedly and insist they come with me to see the tree frogs in the sitting room!’
The fashion PR is currently dating Lord Goldsmith, who recently referred to her as his ‘future wife’. She was first diagnosed with epilepsy after a seizure when she was 13.
Daisy Knatchbull may be the first female tailor on Savile Row, but she doesn’t put all her success down to talent.
The 31-year-old, who is the granddaughter of Patricia Knatchbull, 2nd Countess Mountbatten, admits she’s privileged, but her ‘privilege’ is having attention deficit disorder, which she likens to a ‘superpower’.
Daisy, who founded Savile Row tailor The Deck, credits it with giving her a ‘busyness’ that leaves her struggling to switch off.
Eddie’s nose for realism
Eddie Marsan and Marisa Abela in a scene from the new film Back to Black about Amy Winehouse
Actor Eddie Marsan has said it wasn’t enough to just look like Amy Winehouse’s dad in a new biopic of the singer – he wanted to smell like him, too.
In Sam Taylor Wood’s upcoming film Back To Black, Eddie, 55, says he copied cab driver Mitch’s aftershave.
He said: ‘I met Mitch Winehouse a few times and I smelled him. I thought: ‘I have got to get that aftershave.’
That changes something about you.’ Yes Eddie, that proves one thing: you’ve got an uncanny ability to sniff out a good role.
Three bottles of wine, bottled for Princess Margaret for the late Queen’s 1977 Silver Jubilee, have gone up for auction.
And potential buyers won’t need a king’s ransom to buy them. Serena, Countess of Snowdon, the former daughter-in-law of Margaret, left, has placed the bottles of Riesling from Kensington Palace up for sale, with opening bids starting at just £20.
The late Queen’s sister was known to be partial to a tipple. Before her death in 2002, she said she had her first drink of the day, a vodka and tonic, just before midday, then polished off half a bottle of wine with her lunch.
