Emily Blunt made sure to turn heads in a glamorous strapless gown as she attended The Smashing Machine premiere during the 82nd Venice Film Festival on Monday.

The Devil Wears Prada actress, 42, looked nothing short of sensational in the dazzling floor-length number which showed off her amazing figure.

Emily elevated her frame in a pair of platform dust pink heels and accessorised with an eye catching pair of silver drop earrings.

Styling her dark tresses in neat waves pulled back out of her face, the star beamed for cameras as she posed of the star-studded red carpet.

She was joined by dapper co-star The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, as he beamed for photos wearing a smart grey suit and white open collar shirt.

The biopic follows the life of former amateur wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr, played by Dwayne, alongside Emily as Kerr’s then-wife Dawn Staples an Arizona-based recovering alcoholic who wed Mark in Las Vegas.

Earlier in the day, Emily and Dwayne plugged the biographical movie at a panel during the film festival.

Sitting alongside Emily and Benny, Dwayne said: ‘I have, for a long time, wanted this. The three of us have talked for a very long time about, when you’re in Hollywood — as we all know, it had become about box office…

‘And you chase the box office, and the box office can be very loud and it can become very resounding and it can push you into a category and into a corner. This is your lane and this is what you do and this is what Hollywood wants you to do.’

The Smashing Machine, which releases October 3, is based on John Hyams’ 2002 HBO documentary of the same name, which also captured Kerr’s substance abuse, 1999 hospitalization, and rehab stint on top of his overall career.

In her role as Mark’s then-wife Dawn she is seen to struggle with his fighting when he sustains painful injuries- leading her to taking pain killers to cope.

In the latest issue of PORTER Magazine, Emily spoke about the intensity of playing real people in movies and her need to ‘do right by’ the people.

On the role, Emily said: ‘You know you’re gonna have to rip your ribcage open on something like this… and the other fear is that these people are still living, and you’re holding the beating hearts of their lives on a screen…

‘You just want to do right by these people who have lived through a lot.’

The movie was shot in Vancouver, Los Angeles, New Mexico, and Tokyo. Dwayne not only stars in but also produced The Smashing Machine.

The film marks the solo feature directorial debut of three-time Independent Spirit Award-winning filmmaker Benny.
