Emily Ann Roberts Faces Wardrobe Malfunction During Live Show

Emily Ann Roberts has broken her silence after suffering an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction while performing a live show at the City Winery in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday.

The 27-year-old country star, who was the runner-up of season 9 of The Voice, detailed the mortifying moment, which involved the top button of her outfit popping off on stage.

In a new TikTok video, the Burning House singer explained how she managed to get the situation under control before flashing the audience.

‘So tonight was the night that I almost showed my bare boobies to a whole sold-out crowd,’ Roberts revealed.

Due to her young fan base, mostly teens and young adults drawn to her Christian and wholesome appeal, the performer tried to be as discreet as possible about what was unfolding.

‘So there I was two songs in, just feeling myself in this bad girl outfit,’ she continued. ‘I had fancy pants on and everything…. Well. It’s held together by three little flimsy snags. And one snag decided to pop open in the middle of, you guessed it, Chickens,’ Roberts said.

After making it through the song, Roberts said she ‘resnapped’ herself and ‘hollered’ at her husband to throw her a sweatshirt.

In order to cover herself up, she slipped the baggy pink crewneck over her glamorous look.

‘For the rest of my 90-minute show, I sang like this. Hot, right? That’s how I felt. Hot,’ she quipped.

She captioned the footage: ‘My worst nightmare came true tonight.’

Roberts was only 16 when she appeared on The Voice in 2015, wowing the public with her vocals.

But, after coming second on the talent show, she went back to school and married her high school boyfriend, Chris Sasser.

Earlier this year, she went back on the road with her Voice coach Blake Shelton to open for his Friends And Heroes tour.

In April, a source close to the show told the Daily Mail that ‘being connected with Blake was the best thing Emily could have ever done for her career.’

‘Blake has consistently been the coach that actually cared about his contestants and wanted to see them thrive and succeed,’ they added. ‘He took her under her arms and has guided her and been a blessing for everything she has been doing the last couple of years.’

She currently has 1.3 million TikTok followers and 749,000 on Instagram.

Her biggest hits include Stuck on Me and You (2018) and Someday Dream (2019).

In 2023, she released her debut album, Can’t Hide Country, which has been streamed more than 78 million times.

During her blind audition on NBC’s The Voice, she got a two chair turn for her performance of Lee Ann Womack’s I Hope You Dance.
