Ella Thomas Hospitalized After Birthday Night Out Accident

Love Island's has been rushed to hospital by ambulance during a birthday night out in London over the weekend. 

The reality star took to to explain that she had suffered a 'freak accident' which left her needing emergency surgery on her foot. 

As she celebrated her 26th birthday, Ella revealed someone smashed a glass bottle on the floor and a huge shard of glass landed in her foot leaving 'blood gushing out' everywhere. 

The star shared a series of photos and videos from when the injury occurred to her being rushed to hospital in an ambulance and receiving treatment from doctors. 

She admitted she was in complete 'shock and panic' after seeing her foot and doctors were forced to give her 'drugs' to calm her down.  

Ella said: 'My sister was down from and we were celebrating my birthday and we got invited to this brunch and drinks. 

'We got there and it was just bad vibes, bad people and bad energy and within about 10 minutes of being there someone smashed a bottle and the shards of glass fell directly into my foot. 

'This wasn't a little cut it was a massive wound and there was blood just gushing onto the floor. 

'The worst part was there were girls who were just laughing.'

She continued: 'So an ambulance came and got me and took me to A&E where I found out I needed surgery on my foot also had an X-ray that confirmed I needed surgery. 

'I was in so much shock and panic I wouldn't let the doctor touch my foot until they gave me some medicine and I didn't know what was going on. 

'I'm on the mend now so thank god but stay safe.'

Sharing the accident on Instagram, Ella added: 'Didn't think the birthday celebrations would end with a freak accident and me getting surgery on my foot.

'Missed the Met Gala for a night in the ward.. Keep swiping to see the vibes after the doctor gave me the dr*gs to distract me from the pain.'

She added: 'It was definitely a birthday to remember.'

Ella found fame on Love Island series 10 in 2023 with ex boyfriend Tyrique Hyde.

The pair, who had previously met in a nightclub before the show, coupled up on day one of the ITV2 series. 

But Daily Mail revealed the pair had parted ways permanently in 2024. Tyrique has recently revealed he's in a new relationship with Love Islander Samie Elishi.
