Elizabeth Hurley’s nepo baby son Damian came to the defense of Billy Ray Cyrus amid his mother’s unlikely romance with the singer.
The 60-year-old actress shocked fans when she debuted her relationship with the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker, 64, earlier this year in April over Easter weekend.
The 23-year-old model took to his Instagram stories to clarify his feelings towards the whirlwind romance as well as Billy himself – calling the star ‘one of the sweetest men.’
‘I’ve been in the public eyes since the day I was born and rarely comment on anything written about me or my family,’ Damian penned, before slamming recent ‘untrue’ stories.
‘For the record: I adore @billyraycyrus and think he’s one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met. I love seeing my mom so happy.’
He added that Billy’s kids are ‘adorable’ while also expressing that the families ‘get along beautifully.’

Damian – who is the son of Elizabeth and biological dad Steve Bing – continued to explain that he is part of a ‘modern family,’ including his former stepfather Arun Nayar.
Arun was previously married to the Gossip Girl alum from 2007 until their divorce was finalized in 2011.
After giving a shoutout to his step siblings, the media personality added, ‘I feel blessed every day to be surrounded by so much love and support. I’m grateful for the truth we live, despite the stories others try to write for us.’
Billy was seemingly moved by Damian’s kind words reposted the message to his own Instagram stories and wrote, ‘Love you D Man.’
However, this is not the first time that the model publicly showed his support for his mother’s romance with the actor.
When the pair first debuted their relationship over Easter weekend, he jumped to the comment section to share a black heart emoji.
Also in April, sources told The Sun: ‘Damian has met Billy and is a really big fan of his. They hit it off when they hung out on set.
‘All he wants is for his mum to be happy and he saw their spark straight away and is delighted they are now giving it a go.’

One friend told the outlet at the time, ‘Damian has always been and will continue to be Liz’s number one. She has raised him alone for 23 years and his blessing is the most important thing to her.
‘In the past Liz’s relationship with Damian has taken its toll on some men. Billy is deep down a family man but is currently struggling with a number of issues,’ referencing to the singer’s tumultuous relationship with some of his own kids, such as Trace.
They added, ‘Everyone is a bit worried that his own troubled relationship with his kids could impact Liz and Damian. The biggest fear is that Billy will want Damian to take more of a back seat.’
Back in May, Elizabeth and Billy made their red carpet debut in Rome while attending the Orizzonti | Rosso Exhibition Opening Dinner together – with her son Damian also joining the couple.
The same month, The Royals actress made an appearance at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation 2025 Hot Pink Party in New York City – and gave an update about their relationship during an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.
She gushed that she is ‘very happy in my new relationship’ and added, ‘Billy’s a lovely man and we make each other very happy.’
The pair’s relationship began following his divorce from Firerose – and his third marriage.
He had met Elizabeth on set of the 2022 movie Christmas In Paradise and as he was navigating through the split from Firerose, he received a message from the actress.

She reflected on how she had been content being single but when she met the singer, the actress ‘felt incredibly comfortable and natural and easy from the first second.’
The star also explained, ‘I always spend Christmas in the countryside in Herefordshire, where I live. Me and my siblings, everyone always comes to me.
‘There are a lot of people there, we eat a lot. We do the typical English thing of eating quality streets, watching TV and going out with the dogs.
‘So all I want for Christmas this year is that Billy, my new boyfriend, enjoys his first English Christmas.’
She added, ‘He spent the whole summer with us, but I really do hope that he integrates with us, loves it, enjoys it and doesn’t laugh at us for eating so many quality streets and lying on the sofa.

‘He lives 40 minutes outside of Nashville. It’s so beautiful. Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey.’
She also stated that her son Damian has already been introduced to some of Billy’s children – including Miley Cyrus.
The Bedazzled actress said, ‘Damian and Miley have met, Billy’s kids are great and Billy has spent a lot of time with Damian. Everyone loves everyone, it’s lovely.’
