‘We’d never worked harder to make a record,’ Dan Auerbach said in a press statement. ‘It’s never taken us this long to make an album. We took our time and did it right.’
‘What we wanted to accomplish with this record was make something that was fun,’ Patrick Carney added.

Meanwhile, The Emmys will be broadcast on Monday, six long months after the nominations were announced.
The extended gap between nominations and awards stems from the dual Hollywood strikes that occurred last summer.
Actors and writers went on strike due to stalled contract negotiations, leaving the industry without key participants.
With the absence of actors to grace the red carpet, the Television Academy opted to postpone the ceremony until January 15.
