Hopelessly enamoured with Marisa Abela’s character in Industry, the racy television drama about investment bankers, Harry Lawtey’s love life off screen remained a mystery – until now.

I hear that the actor, 28, currently on cinema screens as a young Richard Burton in Mr Burton, is going out with Una, daughter of Hugo Burnand, the photographer who took the official pictures at King Charles’s second wedding. ‘They’re enjoying a budding romance,’ one of their friends tells me.

Una, 27, who attended an Alexander McQueen fashion show with Lawtey last month has become a photographer like her father.

Lawtey, the son of a military aircraft engineer, declines to comment. 

‘The more people know me intimately, maybe the less interesting I am as an actor. Or less convincing,’ he said last month.

Kate, 51, is an executive producer of Moss & Freud, which is directed by James Lucas and is a dramatised account of her relationship with artist Lucian Freud, played by Sir Derek Jacobi, 86.

Earlier this year, Ellie, who starred in the BBC’s 2018 adaptation of Les Miserables, was spotted filming in London wearing Moss’s original John Galliano Union Jack blazer.

Speaking about the film, Moss said: ‘I am thrilled by the casting. I cannot wait to see it.’

‘My children used to find it hilarious and they aren’t sure why I do it to that tune. But I know why.’

Shappi adds: ‘I don’t think Benny Hill is given enough credit from comedians – certainly of my generation – and I get why, because the racist stuff and the misogyny overshadowed the really beautiful, artistic, creative side, and that’s a great shame.’

Now, the artist, 39, has spoken about her sapphic past. ‘Everyone experiments,’ she tells me at the preview of her new art show, Angels and Demons, at London’s Putney Pie Shop. 

‘Everyone is somewhere on the spectrum.’ The experiment doesn’t seem to have lasted long.

‘It didn’t work out,’ she says. ‘We were bad for each other. It was fire and fire. So no, I’m not bisexual. It was just a phase – and we are still friends.’
