He inherited a historic title, Floors Castle in Scotland, and an estimated £100 million estate when his father died in 2019, but the Duke of Roxburghe lacked a wife.
Charlie Innes-Ker, 43, an Army pal of Prince Harry, put that right two years later by marrying Annie Green, 34, the stepdaughter of South African mining tycoon Patrick Quirk.
Now she has given birth to a son and heir. ‘They are both delighted,’ a friend tells me. ‘They have called him Frederick, so he’ll be Freddie.’
Charlie has a daughter, Eugenie, aged seven, with his ex-girlfriend, the Iranian fashion designer Morvarid Sahafi, a friend of Annie.
Charlie was previously married to Lord Beaverbrook’s elder daughter, Charlotte Aitken, who works as a wedding planner, but they separated just months after their wedding.

Harry and Meghan’s waxwork upgrade!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have some good news at last. I hear they have been ‘upgraded’ at Madame Tussauds.
The couple’s waxworks were situated in the London museum’s ‘Awards Party’ zone, which features entertainment figures such as actor Brad Pitt and singer Lil Nas X.
Now, they’ve been moved to the ‘Culture Capital’ zone, where they will stand next to likenesses of Shakespeare, Churchill and Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.

Top wrestling with Boris bro
Boris Johnson is no longer involved in the rough and tumble of politics, but his half-brother, Max, couldn’t resist a bout of wrestling.
Financier Max, 38, tackled a Mongolian wrestler while travelling through China with their father, Stanley.
The fight will feature in their television series, The Johnsons — In The Footsteps Of Marco Polo.
‘The producers managed to talk Max into participating,’ former I’m A Celebrity contestant Stanley tells me.
Referring to Max’s outfit, he explains: ‘The rule is you have to leave your breasts exposed so people can see you’re not female. Female wrestles are not meant to happen.’
His opponent, also pictured, had not yet undressed.
Stanley won’t reveal who won the fight, but says Max, a taekwondo black belt, ‘put up a very good show’.

Bliss follows in model mum’s footsteps
There was a familiar face on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week.
Bliss Chapman sashayed down the runway for Alexander McQueen, three decades after her mother, Rosemary Ferguson, did the same for the British brand.
‘It has been nice to be back in this world for a minute and reconnect with another part of my life,’ says Rosemary, 49, who is now a nutritionist. ‘Especially proud to see my daughter Bliss walk for McQueen, 30 years after I did.’
Bliss, 18, whose father is artist Jake Chapman, wore a black and silver mirrored dress. Both she and her half-sister, Elfie Reigate, 23, are signed to the Kate Moss Agency, run by their mother’s old pal.

Perhaps Theresa May’s announcement that she will not be standing in the election can be explained by the retirement of one of the most important members of her inner circle — her hairdresser.
Alan Williamson, of The Hair Company in Wargrave, Berkshire, is credited with transforming her look from the dowdy mullet crop she sported when she became an MP 27 years ago to a sleek, short power do nicknamed ‘the Brexit bob’.
It cost just £28, and the low maintenance, no-nonsense style became the must-have do of 2017.

Sparkling Paris proposal for Victoria star Nell
Paris is indeed the city of love for Nell Hudson, whose boyfriend, the TV producer Maximillian King, got down on bended knee in the French capital.
‘It feels very surreal,’ says Nell, 33, who played the Queen’s dresser in ITV’s hit costume drama Victoria. She is seen showing off her sparkler above.
‘We were in Paris, which is where we first ever went on holiday together,’ she tells me at a London party.
‘He got down on one knee in a whole classic proposal, which I wasn’t expecting,’ says Nell, the daughter of novelist Cressida Connolly. ‘I’m over the moon, but I did suspect it a little bit — call it women’s intuition.’
