Eddie Murphy revealed that his daughter Bria arrested him in his upcoming sequel Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F while promoting the film on Monday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The 63-year-old comedian reprises his role as Axel Foley in the action comedy scheduled to be released on July 3 on Netflix and shared a clip from the movie on the NBC talk show.
Eddie in addition to starring in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F also is a producer along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman.
The clip showed Axel being arrested by a pair of female officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department who demanded that he put his hands in the air.
‘Now you show up. Where was you when I was getting shot at?,’ Axel asked.

‘I said hands,’ an officer repeated.
‘I’m a Detroit police officer. Name’s Axel Foley. My badge is in my pocket,’ Axel said.
‘Don’t reach for it!,’ her partner said.
‘I’ve been a cop for 30 years. I’ve been black a whole lot longer. Trust me, I know better. You know, this is very embarrassing,’ Axel said.
‘Yeah, well, you should have thought of that before your little joyride back there,’ the officer said.
Axel then made fun of their small patrol vehicle while being taken into custody.
‘Seriously, this is your squad car? You know, part of me would rather get locked up for resisting arrest than get put in this little Fisher-Price looking mother-f***er y’all rolling around in. Y’all are the Lego cops,’ Axel quipped.
The studio audience laughed and applauded as Jimmy, 49, gushed about the clip.

‘That’s your daughter in the movie. Ah, Bria, great job. Gorgeous, by the way,’ Jimmy said.
‘And her husband is in the movie, as well. There’s another scene where I get arrested and her husband Tases me in the neck,’ Eddie said laughing referencing his son-in-law Michael Xavier.
Bria, 34, and Michael got married in July 2022 during a gorgeous Beverly Hills wedding attended by 250 guests, including her father.
Eddie gave Jimmy and members of the studio audience a special edition Beverly Hills Cop jacket that read ‘DETROIT’ in the back just like the jacket that Axel has been wearing for the past 40 years.
