Eddie Murphy’s Daughter Bria, 35, Debuts Baby Bump at Premiere, Expecting First Child with Husband

Eddie Murphy’s daughter Bria Murphy is expecting her first child with her husband of three years, Michael Xavier.

The 35-year-old mom-to-be revealed her baby bump at the Los Angeles premiere of her father’s new documentary, Being Eddie, on Wednesday night.

Bria is the oldest child 64-year-old comedian shares with ex-wife Nicole Murphy. They’re also parents to Myles, 33, Shayne, 31, Zola, 25, and Bella, 23.

She highlighted her growing belly in a golden yellow, brown, and red print bodycon long-sleeved dress.

Her child will be the Beverly Hills Cop star’s third grandchild; he is already grandfather to his son Myles’ two daughters: Evie, six, and Zuri, one.

In addition to Bria, Eddie was joined by six more of his ten children at the midweek red carpet event.

The Hollywood vet is also father to Eric Murphy, 36, whom he shares with Paulette McNeely and Christian Murphy, 34, whom he shares with Tamara Hood.  

Additionally, there is Angel Murphy Brown, 18, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Mel B of Spice Girls fame.

Finally, the comedian welcomed Izzy, nine, and Max, seven on November 30, with current wife Paige Butcher, 46. 

In July 2022 Bria and Michael, an actor, said ‘I do’ in a Beverly Hills ceremony with 250 guests. 

Bria shared engagement photos via Instagram in December 2021, adding the caption, ‘My heart, my best friend, my forever. I love you, always.’

In another post, she gushed, ‘I can’t wait to marry you,’ while Michael wrote on his profile, ‘Forever my love.’

Ahead of welcoming their first baby, the future parents have currently disabled their social media accounts. 

In 2020, Eddie attended the debut of Bria’s art show, Subconscious, in Los Angeles and proudly told reporters, per People, ‘I’m glad that people get to see how talented she is. We’ve known for years how talented she is. It’s exciting to see her stuff up on the walls… I’m having all of those proud parent feelings.’

And he recently told the publication that he didn’t plan to have so many children.

‘It just happened,’ he said on the red carpet this week.

‘I never knew I would have 10 kids, but now it’s the best thing ever. If you can afford that many kids, you should have as many kids as you can afford. That is fun,’ he reflected.

And he named the common thread throughout his children: ‘My children are all decent people.’

He continued, ‘I don’t have one rotten one, and I would like to think that they got some of that from me.’ 

‘My kids are the center of everything,’ he says in his Netflix documentary, which premiered on Wednesday. ‘Before kids it’s just about you, once you have kids it’s all about them.’
