Despite being worth £370million, Ed Sheeran has revealed one of his best minibreaks was a getaway to budget holiday resort Butlin’s in Minehead.
The singer, 34, headed to the English seaside resort in January on a stag do and enjoyed it so much he is excited to return as he described it as ‘f***ing awesome’.
Speaking on The 2 Johnnies Podcast, the Thinking Out Loud hitmaker revealed he dressed up for the boozy weekend and ‘was off my nut’.
Ed said: ‘For my mate Doug’s, we went to Butlin’s. It was an Eighties-themed weekender and we saw tribute bands Pearl Scam and Metal Militia.
‘I dressed up as [Roy Wood from] Wizzard and I had this big beard, long white hair and sunglasses. And I was off my nut.
‘It was great. Butlin’s goes hard. I love it. I never thought I’d go to Butlin’s. Then, when I was there, I was like, ‘I need to come here more often — this is f***ing awesome’.

‘Can you imagine a Nineties weekender? Proper nostalgia. It would be great.’
Butlin’s Minehead is hosting a Nineties weekend this weekend with Boyzlife, Michelle Gayle and Lisa Maffia as well as tribute bands for Queen and Oasis.
It can be booked for as little as £59 per person and guests can enjoy swimming in the pool, mini golf and a fun fair.
Despite being ‘off his nut’ at the do, it sounds as though it was far more sedate than his own boozy stag.
Ed, who tied the knot with wife Cherry in 2019, added: ‘It was Wolf Of Wall Street-themed. All of my mates dressed up and they put me on a plane.
‘My manager got this small prop plane. We flew from Stansted for 20 minutes just to be like, ‘We’re on a plane’. And then it’s grim. You know when you’re being force-fed shots? It was that. But all of my mates’ stag dos have been different.
‘I got married when I was 26 or 27 so it was very much that sort of stag and then all the stags since then have got more and more calm and relaxed.’
It comes after Ed touched down in New York City last week as he ‘set the record straight’ on his plans to move to US.

The singer is no stranger to travelling the world for his work, but recently revealed he would be ‘settling’ in the States with his family while on tour.
Making his way to the Paramount and CBS offices, Ed dressed casually in a black hoodie and joggers which he teamed with a pair of colourful trainers.
Sharing an update to Instagram, he clarified his previous comments after he said ‘I might be the only person moving to America.’
In the post the musician wrote: ‘Way easier to clear up stuff on here so here’s me setting record straight, coz there’s deffo a narrative press are trying to push that people wanna move out of UK for some reason.
‘I’m not moving, I’m going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on, don’t wanna commute from London to San Diego obvz.’
Ed added: ‘Also this isn’t a tax thing, it’s USA not UAE. I’llalways pay tax in UK coz that’s where I live. Play out Friday go listen to it x.’
The singer, who has an impressive property portfolio worth a staggering £70million, recently snapped up a sprawling £9million home in New York.
Yet he spends the majority of his time at his Sheeranville estate in Suffolk with wife Cherry Seaborn and their daughters, Lyra, five, and Jupiter, three.
